Came down from michigan and My lady and I could not have enjoyed the food more. They do not do it like this up here. Properly fried and spiced food. Giant succulent crab legs, and the fried food? Everything we tried was crispy and packed with flavor.

This is an outstanding Cajun / Seafood hidden gem in Hot Springs. It is a favorite of the locals. The service here is great. All of the food was delicious. This restaurant is very clean and well kept. You have to try the gator bites appetizer. It is really easy to find using Google Maps. There is plenty of free parking in their large lot. You dont want to miss this place.

Catfish is the best I've ever had. Bonding balls are great. Crawfish chowder is amazing. Great atmosphere and great people. They will go above and beyond, to make you happy. Don't complain about things, without letting them know first. They will do their best to make it right.

Being from Missouri we aren't accustomed to the liquor laws here, so we stopped in on Sunday to get a drink and ordered a meal.

As an appetizer we ordered the fired pickles as they were out of alligator bites. It's thinly sliced whole pickles with a seasoned cornmeal breading. A good start that makes you want another drink with the level of salt, but they are pickles after all.

I got the three piece catfish and it was the perfect flaky and moist fish fillets. The breading was spot on with the right amount of seasonings and I can be a little picky on salt but it was great. The fries had a little corn meal seasoning as well and it really took a lowly side to the next level, hush puppies and slaw to boot.

The missus got shrimp etouffe and I had a bite to try. The gravy was nice and aside from the holy trinity you got red beans and some crawfish mixed in that added the good Cajun taste. It was nicely portioned with white rice to soak up all the gravy and ensure you don't miss anything on the plate.

The atmosphere was great with large screens to watch any games that may be on and two tables to play a bit of pool (free). We talked to a couple locals that were present who seemed to be regulars as they knew the staff by name. Our kids found friends in another couple's children and they played on the tables with no issues with the staff and owners, even them being too young to truly play the game.

It's just a short drive from Hot Springs and well worth it! Next time we'll have to order a platter on the menu to taste more of what they have to offer!

Add a decent menu good variety off of the menu. We had some Gator bites for appetizers some Louisiana red shrimp cold boiled. As well as decent helping out frog legs. All the food was pretty good. Service was good attentive plenty of refills on water. All in all wards was a decent dining experience. Would eat there again

Hands down one of the best experiences. Our server Kristen was awesome. Checked on us multiple times & food came very quickly! Highly recommend for some great seafood!
Prices were great & big portions of food!

I like it here. Food is on the mark. a few of the oysters tasted a bit mushy and sticky, but the majority were juicy and fresh. Given the price, I think it’s great value. I will certainly come back when I’m in town!

Ward’s Catfish Hole in Hot Springs is WONDERFUL! We went on a Thursday night, and even though Wards is not on a ‘main drag’, and we were there in the 'off-season' for Hot Springs, we were impressed the parking lot was FULL! We already knew the food would be great when all the locals and the work crews from the area are present!
The layout of the restaurant is simple, open and spacious—even with the crowd! You could see the kitchen, which I like…and it was clean!
The restaurant is family-friendly.
The tables appear to be built on site, they are wooden and sturdy.
The bathrooms are spacious, freshly painted, and CLEAN!
The FOOD….the fish and crawfish were fresh, cooked perfectly and we got plenty of it.
They offer Oysters, which are not my favorite, but my family raved about them.
The Crawfish are served in ‘mounds’, in the traditional fashion. Our neighbors were enjoying them immensely.
Ward’s Catfish Hole offers a wide variety of beers and they have ‘bucket specials’.
The prices are more than fair considering the quality and portions we received.
Will we return? You bet we will!
