Moved into the places while ago since it was near my work and somewhat cheaper than what was around. Never thought to read the reviews again since moving. The apartments are what they advertise layout wise, but everything else is not accurate. No pool and spa or dog park, however some people use the main area as a recreational area it’s nice. Not really worth the price that is charged for rent. For those thinking of moving in, get cameras for your doors especially if you live in the taller buildings because package thieves and neighbors WILL steal your stuff if there isn’t one. The walls surrounding the buildings are good enough but aren’t that sturdy; often have to deal with homeless people passing over or behind them. For some pluses and clear ups, the area is still relatively safe around the complex. Police and security are always around and doing their part with their goals lately to keep the communities safer. Most people are willing to give a helping hand. The leasing office and maintenance people are absolutely AWESOME, it feels like as long as you’re a genuine good person and work with them then they’ll definitely make it worth while.

This is by far one of the most unprofessional apartment complexes I’ve ever dealt with. The place is a joke—completely unsanitary and poorly managed. Homeless individuals frequently sit outside your door, and when I first moved in, I witnessed neighbors smoking fentanyl in their cars.

The laundry facilities are overpriced and filthy, and trying to contact the office is nearly impossible. Even when they are in, the office staff keeps the doors locked and ignores residents’ concerns. For example, I requested a replacement smoke detector battery and was told it would be left outside my door. It never arrived.

On top of that, they will find weak excuses to enter your apartment for so-called “inspections,” showing little to no respect for your privacy. If you’re okay with living in an environment that lacks cleanliness, professionalism, and basic respect for its tenants, this might be the place for you. Otherwise, I strongly recommend looking elsewhere.

Terrible apartment complex, walls are paper thin, management is terrible, dogs barking all the time. Poop is all over the apartments complex, can’t even open the windows cause the smell goes through. DO NOT COME HERE, had to deal with all this for a year Im so happy I’m moving out to a better place.
The laundry is always a mess
I had found poop several times inside the washers, it’s terrible. I had to buy my own little portable washer to wash my daughters clothes.

This is concerning the property only. It is nice and okay for the people that do not mind about not having amenities and a laundry room needs to be clean. I only been here for a week and the laundry room have not been touched since there is dog hair in every washer. I mean nasty 50 dog hair on the floor. This property needs a portal or housekeeper or something to come in and clean it daily. Or if not whoever uses the washer needs to clean it out behind themselves. Especially if they know that they have pets that shed hair. This is disgusting. I do not like it. Other than that the place is quiet. Seems like a decent place to live, but for me unfortunately it's not and cleaning is a plus. I do not like for no one passing by my bedroom, window nor my living room stopping to let their pets urine in front of my door or by my window without cleaning it up. That is very nasty and disgusting. Overall that the property manager is awesome she works so hard at getting her job done. She wears multiple hats out here and it's not fair to her . So the owners need to get her help. She need a maintenance team and groundsman to take care of everything

I relocated from Texas to have the leasing agent to say the apt was leaking and I had to move to another unit which she is no longer here. I assumed the unit would be the same but no! No flooring at all in the flats! New employee stated they are doing an inspection for refinancing the property however all they did was put a smoke detector to see if I’m smoking in my unit! Wtf do that have to do with finances and you need to send a letter to re-enter my apt too otherwise you will be in violation!! Only in there for 5 minutes! An inspection consists of looking at the lighting etc! I don’t believe I will be renewing next year no amenities with the dirty washers making me itch!

Really bad experience here, I regret coming to youngtown flats it’s terrible here. My neighbors are all problematic, the smell of weed comes in to my apartment, I have a daughter which is not good for her to be smelling all that, plus the smell of poop, cause apparently nobody knows how to pick up after their dogs.

The apartments are low quality. The homeless people in the area will steal anything they can get their hands on and the staff will do anything they can to make the situation worse. It’s a dangerous gross area, and the price of apartments here reflect that of a much nicer area. Nothing in the apartments is built to last, and all the common areas have to offer you are people digging through trash and smoking from tinfoil. Please walk around around at night before moving into Youngtown Flats. Moving here is a major regret, and it’s an embarrassing place to bring company.

Had a tour scheduled. We showed up ten minutes early. Waited till after our scheduled appointment only for no answer at the office door. No one answered the phone or anything. Considering it's super hot out and I had my toddler, that's a definite turn off when looking for a place to live.
