I love World Market and so if I ever run across one I’ve never been like today I make it a point to check it out. This location was pretty easy to get to, but man the traffic can get nuts because it is in the Tempe Marketplace . The store was great size and was very organized and clean. I found quite a few items I hadn’t seen at the locations near my home so that was awesome. Service was ok. No other employees acknowledged us or asked if we may need help besides the greeting we got from the single cashier running the entire front.

Hey everyone please keep an eye on expiration dates especially if you’re making an online order. These guys working at this specific location gave me expired chocolate. Ordered in December and expiration literally says 12/24. Can’t be an accident, they have a clearance isle on purpose because they keep track. I don’t know if they picked it out from the clearance isle but that’s just flat disrespectful. I only paid attention when I noticed super chalky texture. Don’t make my mistake. Thought I’d share with you before they earn your business. 👍

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE BY THE MANAGER MICHELE

I was having issues paying w my card , like I have previously I’ve came to this store & ALL 4 other stores around PHOENIX.

I explain the issue & how the other world market locations have gone upon and resolved the problem, instead of bringing a solution to the table like all other staff and locations previously had, I was neglected told to step out if I didn’t like it & had to leave 2/3 carts full of items ($1500-2000) worth of items and walk out bc of how embarrassed I felt.

Insanity truly, thousands of dollars left behind bc of horrible lack problem solving & hearing me out.

This isn’t my first time at this location as she said “she remembered me” from last time.

In this last 1/2 weeks I’ve managed to spend over $6,000 at world market bc we’re opening a restaurant up & I can truly say after this situation I WILL NEVER BE PUTTING MY MONEY WHERE CUSTOMERS ARENT VALUED , if this is how I’m treated spending thousands, couldn’t imagine the service they provide to your regular customer.

Shame on you Michele , better training & problem solving mannerism needs to be thought to you.

Disappointing condition

Well, I realize it is after Christmas and everyone in retail is probably exhausted -but the store today was in rare form.
Lines were long when we walked in and the check out areas were in extreme disarray. Two staff were talking for a long time in closed register area.
The sample tea was empty and filthy. Many areas needed attention and we suspect they have been extremely short of help.
Still managed to find some fun stuff, but this visit was disappointing.

This place has that Pier 1 import vibe. Located in the Tempe Market Place and surrounded by a lot of other stores / vendors with plenty of parking. There is a lot to select from here. We have 3 papasan chairs from this place with insane selection of cushions to choose from. The style is very naturesk. Being an Islander, I tend to gravitate towards wooden and bamboo style decor. Your head will be on a swivel in this place. Have fun decorating ☺️.

I like this store. You can get so many different kinds of food, furniture, toys, stationeries, letters, etc. from all over the world. Even if you don't but anything there, it is really fun to walk around the store and look at what they have there. Going to this store always makes me feel like I'm traveling the world haha

A really cool place to shop at, with a bunch of unique and interesting items! They have a lot of furniture and home decor, and a ton of imported and difficult to find foods. They aren't too expensive either, they have frequent sales and promotions. Definitely worth checking out if you want to add something nice to your place or try a new imported snack!
