We went to Wilsons to snowmobile. 2/15/25 to 2T/22/25. They have done many updates to the cabins. . We stayed in Sequoia which has been updated wonderfully. It even had a Keurig!!! We know no one wants one of those..JK..Plenty of everything from pillows that are fluffy and big to many blankets which we did utilize seeing that it was 7 degrees or below with wind chills of 30 to 50mph. We love to beable to park the sleds right outside our front door and go, and the trails were awesome.|We had a bit of a problem with our 4 place trailer as one of the axels fell off!!! yup thats right it fell off. We retrieve it and they gave us a 2 x 4 to help stabilize the second axel as that one was not much better. They allowed our sleds to stay over night if we needed. But we live in Maine and have the inginuity to rig it up so we could get the trailer and us 4 home safely with wood, bungie and heavey straps. I wish I had a picture but I was nervouse nelly all the way home. 3 hour trip home!! Thank goodness they are the people they are. Thank You Soooo much..|We like going to different plac es up north every year but we will be back for sure.

Stayed in the lakeside cabin with my significant other for 1 week. When going into the office at check in I noticed that there was a lot of clutter in there to the point that you were unable to move. I payed my remaining balance and then the owner said that the cabin was open and ready for us. I was surprised that there was no actual locks on the doors which meant that no valuables stayed inside while we were not there. The cabin was clean however it took multiple tries to flush the toilet (everytime), the shower did not drain and there were holes in-between the wooden beams so the outside was visible. We had to shove a shirt in between the beams so the bugs would not come in! It is clear that this once was a very nice place to stay, but the upkeep has lapsed. It maybe more suitable for hunters and fishers during the season rather than a couple on vacation. The fireplace was not working one night, I had called multiple numbers that were on the website and no response, so I went to the garage on the property and asked someone, he didn't hesitate to come look at it! The view was lovely, the Greenville area is so nice, and the people are very friendly!

Called a week ago about parking at Wilsons. Lady I spoke with told me plenty of parking. $10 for vehicle,$15 for truck with trailor. I haven't been ice fishing for years and was really looking forward to it.
I just called back and the lady I spoke with said NO parking unless we rent a camp! It would have been nice if she had told me that last week. She had a real nasty attitude in addition. I asked her about parking elsewhere and she suggested Greenvile when she knew I was going to fish Rockwood. A real mean one. People these days are horrible and care only about profit , Wilson's Camps included. Hopefully they go out of Business and someone decent buys them out!

Wilsons on Moosehead Lake is the perfect vacation spot. Whether you are fishing, hiking, sightseeing or just relaxing. Our cabin was just steps from the lake. It was neat and clean and had everything that we needed. The owners, Alison and Scott are welcoming and friendly. They will always go out of their way to make sure that your stay is an enjoyable one.|Our reservations are already made for next year. We won't stay anywhere else!

We've been coming here for years. It is a great family place for old and young. A genuine Maine experience. If you're into nature and experiencing the great outdoors on a pristine lake, this is your place! Fantastic kayaking along an uninterrupted shore.

Hey, it's a "camp", so don't expect the Ritz, but it's cozy and Scott was very accommodating. As far as location...I can't imagine it gets much better than 25 yards from Moosehead Lake!

Stay far, far awayfrom these cabins. Owner was very rude..and she charged us for 2nights that we weren't there. But after reading the other reviews about cat urine and maggots I'd say we dodged a bullet. Shady practices. Not sure how she's still in business.

I last stayed here as a child (not yesterday..lol) and was so happy to find that the experience as a grown up was just as wonderful. The cabins are right on the lake (there's a small beach) grills, fire pits and picnic tables are all there. Pet friendly (my pup made a swimming buddy). Many people were there for the fishing...the folks in the cabin next door caught many salmon..but I was there for the hiking, which was close by and wonderful. For moose lovers, there are a couple that hang out about 5 miles towards town (drive carefully at night!). Great owners, great place, highly recommend.
