I consigned a saguaro skeleton lamp with a patinaed copper shade on it. I went in to pick the lamp up since they failed to sell it and discovered that they had sold my shade and put some hideous shade on it instead. They are refusing to pay me for the shade they sold. Manager copped a really nasty attitude, told me she is there every day, but has no idea what happened to the shade. Bad business practice, especially with locals who have been in town almost 30 years.
On the left is the lamp shade I consigned (that they didn't pay me for), and on the right is the lamp shade they replaced it with (notice the jumping dear!) that probably didn't help sell my lamp any.

Went into the store today with mother and our dog smiling and in a great mood enjoying this place that is Sedona! Then…..Not sure why but we honestly got greeted very rudely and unprofessionally by the employee at the front counter even after explaining (and ready to show proof) that our dog is in fact a certified service dog. Not in a big hurry to return for this type of interaction….not to mention the high prices. Just can’t recommend.

Wow rude as could be. Wanted to sell a table and chairs. Sent in pics. Just wanted a general price. Was told that I needed to bring it in and sign a contract prior to any appraisal or pricing. I said I just wanted to find out if it would sell for more than $500 because if so I could just sell it myself. The policy makes it useless to send in pics. The woman then said fine sell it yourself for $500 and hung up the phone.
I am sure a buyer would easily pay $3000.
And armed with the pics, And a full 45 seconds on the internet this genius could have given me some assurance that this would not be a give away.
If you hate your job that much get a new one.

I consigned a lot of furniture and art to Dana last September as I was moving back to Canada. Dana is all sweetness when she is signing you up, but you have to phone every single month to get your check for the previous month's sales to be mailed. In mid-February, Dana sent an email that my six month contract was up and she needed the space so did I want to donate all that was left and receive a tax donation receipt or have a friend pick it up. I indicated donation would be fine. I have not received a final statement of items sold, and for what amount, what was left, where it went as a donation or a tax receipt. Last Saturday, I phoned and left a message about why I was phoning and that I hadn't yet written my review of how everything was handled and to "govern yourselves accordingly", but to no avail. It is Tuesday and there hasn't been a return call or email. I will be writing the Better Business Bureau about my experience as a consignor. For buyers, you will find great things in Dana's store at good prices. As consignors, beware, be vigilant and be prepared to hold Dana's feet to the fire every step of the way. Dealing with people is a big challenge for Dana who is really a very angry person, being a business person with integrity is an even bigger challenge. It seems that Dana does not feel that the 60 - 40 per cent split, 60 going to her business is fair although Dana controls the pricing and markdowns. Consignors Beware!

I am so appalled at the experience that I received at the store. I called to see if they still had something my husband had his eye on. The gentleman said yes and that he would hold it till the end of the day. I told him do I need to pay over the phone or can I pay when I get there? needless to say when I was almost there being an hour and a half Drive I received a phone call saying saying that the owner had instructed him to sell the item. They had called and left a message I had no service seeing as I was driving to the store to purchase the item and other items. They did not hold the item until the end of the day like they said they would. I would have been dropping over $1,000 just in today's sales of what I was going to buy but they do not care about their customers nor will I ever go there again!!
