We spent years at Prestige, but it’s clear they need better management and updates. They often struggle with being short-staffed, and their employees are underpaid and unhappy. In contrast, my first tour of Via Elegante was incredibly refreshing. The facilities are modern, bright, and cheerful, and the staff are well-supported, which allows them to provide exceptional care for the residents. Via Elegante also offers a fall detection program that immediately alerts staff if a resident falls, ensuring prompt assistance. Their administrative team is excellent as well, providing a well-organized system that sends weekly updates about your loved one’s well-being. I would highly recommend you do a tour and check them out!

Our mother has been residing at Via Elegante Assisted Living and Memory Care Highlands Community for the past 18 months. When the decision was made to move mom from a rehabilitation facility into a dementia and memory care assisted living facility our family researched the local assisted living facilities and decided on Via Elegante following a tour of the Highland community. Angela was extremely helpful in explaining the process and assisting us in this difficult decision. From the beginning we felt comfortable that this was the place for mom. We were 100% correct!! The exterior and interior of the community is well maintained, neat and clean. I visit mom often; the staff is always happy to see me and are very pleasant and professional. Often on my visits I will see Andy and Zach, they always have time to say hello and ask how things are going. It is very apparent that the owner is involved in the care of mom and the other residents. I have seen the staff and caregivers in action, they are friendly, attentive, caring, and they are willing to go the extra mile for their residents. No facility is perfect, but any time there is a minor issue, the entire staff gets involved to resolve that issue. They always listen and address our concerns quickly and efficiently. I like the communication between the staff and our family, the weekly emails to let us know how mom is doing, what supplies she needs and if there is anything we need to address. We also receive calls if there is something that needs our immediate attention. The communication makes us feel like we are part of the team. I appreciate the monthly activities schedule and weekly menu they provide; it helps us know what is happening. Mom loves singing time, Bingo and when they have critter cuddles. Before mom moved into Via Elegante, I would worry about her. Since she has become a resident my family and I do not worry as much, we have peace of mind knowing that mom is in a safe and caring environment.

My mother had been at Via Elegante for around 18 months now. The staff and caregivers are wonderful and keep us informed of any issues that may arise. My family and I are very comfortable with the care she is receiving and the overall operation of the facility. They management, Angela, is very helpful with the procedures and recommends alternative solutions to problems. They really seem to care about the residents. I world recommend them to anyone with a loved one experiencing memory issues.

Started working here in May and it is honestly an incredible place to work. I came from another facility which was in absolutely awful condition. We have the most beautiful facility in Sierra Vista and I have heard that from countless others. Great staff and amazing residents

POV from an out of state Son attempting to help his Dad with the difficult decision and guilt of placing his wife in a memory care facility.
After extensive research we chose Via Elegante. Over a period of almost 11 months Via was entrusted with the care of my Dad's wife until we recently lost her to dementia.
Within that time many events were happening in both of their lives and I found Via very accommodating and communicative during such events.
Visits by my Dad were always unannounced. There was never a time that he felt his wife was being neglected. With many engaging activities and social opportunities it suited Dad's wife's needs very well.
No one person or place will ever care for your loved one the way you will. Entrusting that responsibility to others will be one of the most difficult decisions you'll have to make. For us, Via Elegante made that decision easier. Caregivers are forever being judged. Real or preceived they will fail and therefore will be criticized more often than they are thanked. Wherever you choose to place your loved one, thank the caregivers to whom you have entrusted with their care, and then thank them again.

Words can’t express how grateful my family and I have been to the caring people at the Highlands. They very quickly got a room ready for our mother, who has been diagnosed with dementia, and got her settled into her new home. She is very happy there and we are very happy she is in a safe and caring environment. When we did our tour we all noticed how clean and home like it felt. We did not want an institutional type facility. So fun to be there when its the ‘critter cuddles’ day! A warm shout out to Angela!!

My mother spent her last year of life here. The caregivers were always attentive, caring, and willing to go the extra mile for their residents. No facility is perfect, but any time there was a minor issue, the entire staff, from the director down would get involved to resolve the issue, and always took our concerns and desires in mind. We felt like we were part of the care team, always included in what was going on. Communication with the facility was good, if anything happened or they had a question they would quickly reach out to us. Meals and snacks are included in the cost, and mom never had a complaint about the food. Medication administration was always on time and they worked with the Primary care provider with any concerns or issues, and any changes in medications were always implemented by the next day, and in some cases the same day. If I had another family member that needed assisted living, I wouldn’t hesitate to use them again.
