We've lived in Van Buren since June 2018. In that time, we have NEVER had an issue with the VB Municipal Utilities, including the water dept and the sanitation dept. There hasn't ever been a rude word spoken to me - EVER!!! Believe me, I messed around and forgot to pay the bill one month. Of course, my water was disconnected. When I had realized what I'd done, I quickly called them and drove over and paid the bill. My water was back on before I got back home. They will give you a payment extension if you get in a jam. I tell you truly, VB Municipal Utilities conduct themselves in a professional manner, and always treated me with the utmost respect. Great bunch of folks!

I do believe they have a special school just for women that works at Water Departments.I have lived in a few towns and the women at the watef departments are always mean ,rude ,hateful and nosey.Didnt know better I would say daughters of Adolf maybe?

no car, no public trans, and disability makes walking to drop box next to impossible. then removal of drop box at ozark bank on pointer trail, without alerting customers is their icing on the cake , never returning calls. lest we forget, usps takes forever, leaving one stressed out ...wondering if water will be shut off. taxes here are punitive, not even street sweepers, no sidewalks, you risk your life walking fayetteville road, would like to know why the drop box was removed?

Can't pay online they don't accept debit the only way to pay them is mail it in or make the Trip every month. This is the most inconvenient bill I have. It is 2017 guys it's time to start taking cards over the phone.

Rude, rips customers off. Pathedic drinking water. They have charged me more for water claiming I use over 2,000 gallons of water each month. I live alone in a small 2 bedrm house. What we get charge for amount of rain to ? Wish someone else would take over this dept that DOES not scam customers. How in gods name can they get by with this?
And I agree they are ALL very hostile and rude. Rate this company...F. They never fix the drainage problems. Worthless water dept. City of van buren can care less about the people, and NO one around to change problems customers are having. Pathetic department.

People that works here are very rude. I called to transfer service to a new address and the lady kept talking over me, talking really fast and keeping her answers short. Saying '' come in and give deposit'' was her exact words. Over and over. I shouldn't have to pay another deposit if I'm just transferring service to a new location.

These men can't get flack for not being able to work on "your end of things" like your own pluming pipes, etc. They also have to handle being able to cut through nearly impossible concrete and other rock hard materials, while avoiding gas lines, fiber-optic lines, etc. They do their best in all weather conditions to work as promptly and quickly as they can. If they moved dirt out, they'll move it back. If grass needs replaced, they replace it. They come out all hours day or night, as long as it's a problem on the city end of things, and work until they're done if at all possible, if not leave a generator running all night long! They are not only hard workers, they are physically fit and have to undergo amazing mathematic testing to ensure they understand sizing, equipment, chemical measurements, additives, etc. I don't know how anyone could possibly find fault with them. (Unless they wanted them to fix their end of things and which they can not do that). I know they have repaired and replaced anything they ever damage ten times over within the work week. No reasonable person could complain. And they often put their lives on the line and even have to direct traffic like a cop.

Rudest people ever, have never gotten bill for my mother, then one of the incompetent employees turned around in her back yard crushed the lateral lines, yet they don't know anything about that. Can't even get a call back from the man who said he would call her back.. Poor excuse if customer service ever...
