When my husband and I were downsizing to an RV, I envisioned yard sale after yard sale. It was not a pretty sight. Then he suggested that we contact Lynn of Tumbleweed Auctions. I was hesitant at first because I didn’t want someone else going through my things and I wanted 100% of the sale price. However, after meeting Lynn, I was immediately comfortable with her and her proposal. I realized that my time was worth money and did I want to spend days and days holding yard sales or did I want to move on and let someone else do the selling for me. We went with the latter. Once we removed everything we wanted from the house, Lynn and her team took over. Every item went up on the website with a photograph and an explanation. My husband monitored the on-line auction and was extremely impressed with the presentation and the on-line program itself. After the auction, we received a check for our portion of the proceeds as well as a very detailed accounting of every single item that we left in the house with its sale price. Without ANY effort on my part the house was empty, swept and in very good condition. I recommend Tumbleweed Auction to everyone who wants a professional group to handle the disposition of their “stuff.” You won’t be sorry.

Kathy does a great job for so many families that are downsizing or completing estate sales. I have recommended her to many of my home sellers moving out of state and not able to take all of their personal items to their new homes. She packs and inventories all items for a live or on-line auction. She has a large following that come to all of her auctions. My sellers have all rated her 5 stars. Her team packs similar household items ,take pictures, number and advertises in local newspaper and network website then auctions off at the highest bidder. Seller receives a thorough inventory list of each item with the highest bid accepted along with their net profit checks within a few days. Tumbleweed always leaves the home vacant and clean of all debris and move in ready condition. This is a very professional service and much appreciated.

My mom has known this lady for about 40 years. Mom has been doing online auctions since before the pandemic. Recently my mom has purchased products from the online auction, only to find things broken, ripped, and basically unusable items. Mom has paid a few dollars for these items and wanted compensation for the broken or unusable items. While on the website everything looked fine but after she picked up her stuff, items broken and basically destroyed. Mom called the lady and asked what could be done? The Kady said Nothing!!! Everything is sold as is ( broken items were not broken on the site) . Mom bought a paper shredder that didn't even work. Mom asked the lady why dosen't she test the products to see if they work? No she said they don't have time. They can't test and cataloge at the same time!!!! Totally irresponsible!!! If items are broken then list it as broken or wait then they won't sell and the lady won't make no money!! Very deceptive!!! My mom just wanted a little compensation for all of the broken stuff. She has probably spent a couple thousand dollars with this particular auction house. Not any more!!!!! Don't buy from her!!! She is dishonest!!!

I had a horrible experience with Kathy and Tumbleweed Auction. I had won a Native American turquoise bracelet from the auction house and was planning on giving it to my Mom for a birthday gift. When I received it it was broken and Kathy or the owner refused to give me my money back. Many of the items listed on the website are broken and the auction house does not honor any return policy. Don’t understand how they are able to stay in business.

Never Again. Lynn Hu seems pretty much inept in managing their HiBid online auction activity other than collecting money. After purchasing an ~8lb item measuring ~12' x 8" x 8" for $87 it took FOUR emails over 3 weeks to get an explanation of any shipping arrangement although that IS OFFERED on their HiBid listings. Finally the excuse for delay was that they had too many items to carry to their car (!!) to take them to a UPS store. Then I'm hit by a $92 shipping charge (AZ to central US) with NO previous communication of the cost or conditions of shipping. Beware

EDIT: 24 hours later - The shipping charge has appeared and disappeared() from my bank account. Calling and speaking to Kathy then Lynn Hu; she tells me it's packed and "at the warehouse" and I just don't understand that she had SIXTY-THREE packages to pack and carry to her car! Over 3+ weeks. And she will finally email me a tracking number. Clearly two ladies not prepared for an online business.

They were totally unwilling to help me liquidate my property which is to expensive to move to the middle west. Unresponsive with no concern for my interests; even paranoid in her conduct! Really wierd, she was. A ZERO STAR rating is more appropriate. Obviously, she didn't care that I am a Christian and a 41 year veteran; or maybe that is their problem.

I would avoid Tumbleweed; at all cost! Even the name Tumbleweed suggests an unpredictable and unstable path.

Kathy was amazing. She helped prepare a home for sale by doing an auction and removal of personal property at a home and service down. Her connections to the community are extraordinary and her positive attitude is contagious
