Was the home of Bayern and Laura Stanley. It is very old and shows some signs of its age as you would expect. Bed was very comfortable. It has a nice front porch with rocking chairs. Owners are great people.

We stayed at the Stanley for 2 nights. The rooms were cozy and welcoming. I really liked that they were able to keep the original stain glass windows. The owners were very friendly. We would stay there again if we get in that area.

A beautiful bed and breakfast. Great hosts and lovely rooms in a century home. Great for skiing at Sugarloaf. Easy drive to the slopes. Good dining in the area. Beautiful architecture and history on the street and in the town.

Incredibly delicious! Very relaxing but elegant big old beautiful house tastefully decorated, and with gorgeous stained glass makes the dining a memorable & very enjoyable experience. The rabbit with raspberry sauce is superb! Outstanding salmon. You'll definitely come back!

My husband and I found this B&B more than 15 years ago and we've kept coming back, again and again. Over the years, we've stayed at least a dozen times during the ski season and we've already booked our trip for next year. We've probably stayed in every room - they are all very comfortable and clean - and they all have a wonderful Victorian charm. ||It was a romantic setting for us as a couple and now that we have an 8 year old, we enjoy it as a family. All the rooms have wifi, but we actually enjoy "unplugging" for a week and just enjoying the skiing at nearby Sugarloaf. ||The breakfast is just what you want before a day of skiing - Maine granola, fresh coffee or tea, and then a rotation of eggs, French toast and pancakes (raspberry or blueberry!)... All prepared by chef Dan.||Speaking of Dan... You MUST book a reservation at the restaurant for dinner. They are closed Monday and Tuesday, so make sure to plan your visit accordingly.||Three Stanley is one of the reasons we drive 7 hours from northern NJ to Kingfield, ME. That, and the great skiing at The Loaf.||

We've been to 3 Stanley Avenue once or twice per year for the past 8 years and will keep coming back! Very clean, comfortable and quiet, and the hosts are wonderful. It's in a quiet little town but close to Sugarloaf ski area as well as the Bigelow range & the western Maine wilderness region. We hike/bike/kayak in the summer, and in winter we snowshoe or ski. The restaurant right next door at 1 Stanley Avenue - same owners - is open winters only and is superb!

The room was clean and the price was right however breakfast was subpar and felt incomplete they served english muffins and eggs. The eggs weren't as cooked as I like them. There is no tv's in the rooms and no common area with a tv, books or games. So there is nothing to do but sleep. Dinner was really good which makes we question why breakfast was so bad they clearly have cooking skills and breakfast is a pretty easy meal to not screw up. also they serve breakfast too late. they don't start til 7:30. Sugarloaf lifts start at 8:00 and it takes about 25 minutes to get to the mountain from the hotel. Not only did we miss first chair we had to park in parking lot F by the time we got through with breakfast. Also worth noting the shower isn't for tall people as I had to squat to wash my hair. They also didn't give us new facecloths the 2nd night so we ran out. Wouldn't stay here again.
