Fuimos en un tour a Maine, y nos tocó hacer parada en este simpático pueblo para comer. Vimos el hotel y sin pensarlo más, nos metimos a comer ahí. Vaya sorpresa nos llevamos con el restaurante. Con una terraza súper agradable, buen surtido de vinos, los meseros súper atentos.|Era poco más tarde de la hora de la comida , había poca gente. Pero el servicio fue excelente.|Para empezar, iniciamos con ostras frescas al centro. Ordenamos una variedad de ellas, todas de diversas partes del estado de Maine. No podría decir cual era la mejor, pero todas estabas frescas y deliciosas, acompañadas de la salsa de la casa y limón.|De principal, clam chowder y lobster roll. De no creerse!!!!! Finalmente entendí por que la langosta de Maine es fan famosa. Es otra cosa de lo que siempre había comido. Fresca, suave ... excelente!!! Y la sopa de almejas .... la mejor que he probado en este viaje a Boston.|Si pudiera regresar, sin duda alguna, repetía esta experiencia.|Saludos!!!

My wife and I decided to stay here for a night away. We found the Boat House Very clean, comfortable and relaxing. The woman running the front desk was fantastic. Very nice and accommodating. She made our stay that much better 🙂 we never made it for dinner here but did have some very nice drinks at the bar. We will definitely return!

We had a wonderful stay. Great location and views. Comfortable bed. Nice tv with lots of channels and good movies. Convenient restaurant right on site with fabulous food and great service. Great continental breakfast. Friendly and helpful staff.

Sadly this facility has gone way down over the last few years. My husband booked a weekend away, unfortunately when a snow/ice storm was coming through. Due to this the host offered us to stay an extended day til Monday at a discounted rate or leave a day early (Saturday) and a credit would be given for next time. They stated they were disregarding policy to ensure the safety of their guests. Saturday at 12:15 we decided to leave at 5pm that day. My husband went down to the desk and told the host we would be heading out but needed the room until 5pm. We did not care about a credit. She said it was ok and we would know about the credit via email. Again, we were leaving regardless of a credit. 5 minutes later host and some guy came to our room and pounded on the door telling us we had to leave and could not stay. The knock was aggressive as if we were people that were refusing to leave. Mind you this weekend was paid for months ago so no we did not need to leave. They proceeded to tell my husband the policy is check out at 11am, (but it was 12:15 went we went down to the desk) well we never checked out nor did the host tell us we had to check out when he said we were going to leave at 5pm. Then they told us they rented our room and we had to leave now. Talk about furious, we were on fire over this. This was Valentine’s weekend. We said we were not leaving since we paid for the room through Sunday. They made it clear they were “ignoring the policy” this weekend due to weather. They said they had to call a manager in a rude manor. The said manager called us and told us we had to leave because they rented our room. We had had enough of this BS and said we’re not leaving the room that we paid for, end of story and that we were calling corporate over this matter. I said a review would be written over this horrific treatment. Then shockingly manager said we could stay until 5pm-no problem and they would have to find another room for the people they rented our room to. We were appalled at how everything unfolded, we were repeat guests for years .. never again. There are other places to stay that would never do this. Do yourself a favor and keep on driving if you see this place. Thumbs down for this place.

Overpriced glorified bed and breakfast without the breakfast!

Arrived on a Tuesday for a one night stay, after having seen many reviews on how great the restaurant was and we were very much looking forward to our meal at the waters edge. The hotel failed to communicate that the restaurant and bar were closed on a Tuesday. The receptionist left at 4pm after handing us our key, and although we expressed our disappointment and annoyance that we had not been told that the restaurant and bar were closed, her reply was ‘really’ and then failed to tell us there is a sister hotel up the road we could of eaten at.
We have never paid $400 for a one night stay literally for a bed.
We did email the property whilst we were there expressing our disappointment, but to this day have not a reply, in fact we have left reviews on several platforms and still not had an acknowledgement from the hotel.
Breakfast is a joke, guests huddled around the bar and in reception as there was nowhere else to sit, no coffee, we had to go searching for someone to tell them, we found one person in the kitchen.
We have had better breakfasts in the cheapest of motels.

Would not recommend this hotel.

Anyway, we can highly recommend ‘The Boathouse Waterfront Hotel’ as a place to stay in Kennebunkport. We really enjoyed our short stay there.

The room was perfect. Overlooking the boat/water area. Staff were friendly and helpful. All of the shops were in easy walking distance from the hotel. Cozy robes and huge shower. Continental breakfast was a great “plus”. Great place to stay in Kennebunkport.

Location great, nice clean room, but we paid $400 for a one night stay on a Tuesday and no one communicated with us that the restaurant and bar were closed tuesdays leaving this glorified bed and breakfast completely lifeless. |The reviews we had read about the Hôtel restaurant were excellent, so apart from the location that was the main reason we wanted to stay here, eating right at the waters edge. |We had expressed our dismay upon our arrival to the receptionist who said ‘ really’ when we told her that no one had communicated the closure of the restaurant and bar on a Tuesday, and offered us no suggestions despite the hotel having a sister hotel ( we found out the following day) then handed us our key as she walked out of the door at 4pm leaving no one in the hotel but a valet to open the door for people. |Breakfast was a joke, no coffee no staff. |We did send an email whilst we were there a week ago to complain, but to this date we have had no response.
