My out-of-town family and I stayed at The Baker August 2-4. It was my son's wedding weekend and we wanted a place we could all stay together, walk to restaurants and enjoy the Argenta neighborhood. I cannot say enough good things about the property, the owners and the awesome staff. They have maintained the historical aspect of the house, while upgrading with modern amenities that make everything feel so comfortable and welcoming. It was all so beautiful! The owner went above and beyond to make sure our stay was satisfactory, and I must say it was way beyond satisfactory! It was absolutely amazing!! Although I'm a local, I look forward to booking a staycation there very soon! What a wonderful getaway, right in the heart of town. I HIGHLY recommend!!

I can’t say enough good things about The Baker! We stayed in the Magnolia Room and it was absolutely perfect. Despite having “housemates” it was very quiet and we both slept incredibly well for not being in our own bed at home. The host goes above and beyond to think of anything you might need or want—including some drinks and snacks! If you love old homes you won’t be disappointed. They have maintained the “bones” of the home while having modern updates that keep you comfortable. We were greeted by Kyla (a housekeeper) and she was very helpful. The location is wonderful and we followed the recommendations on the Baker’s website and enjoyed a free trolley ride which was wonderful, and even caught a few innings of a Traveler’s game. I can’t wait to tell all my friends—and we’ve already discussed a return trip!

Love the cottage and modern design. The foyer main house furniture is a nice look. The original design of the house is extremely beautiful. The turf makes it so easy to still enjoy outdoor events utilizing a tent. It's an amazing area for micro events. Very intimate at night .
May want to look at an additional outdoor outlet on the front of the house & another suggestion: to have a sign for event guests to use during outdoor ceremonies that gives the public some notification as they pass by the gate area to be respectful and pass quietly. Maybe this can be placed on the gate near the corner space. It is located near some great restaurants and offers unique setting areas for photos. Definitely look forward to returning and providing any services for anyone interested in planning decor florals or coordinating services.

The owner was very nice and the people i met staying there were nice as well. Only bad thing I have to say about the rooms is if you're a light sleeper like me make sure to take ear plugs because it's very old wood and it's very loud at night when people above you walk or move in bed. The bed was very comfortable, and the shower was rough because I'm claustrophobic. The security would be awesome if people remembered to lock the front door when they left. That should automatically lock when people leave to make sure the house is safe. I carried my gun with me.

LOVE The Baker and all its charm! We were so excited to have our wedding ceremony here but unfortunately had to change plans last-minute, however we kept our reservation for the weekend as I had family coming in to stay. They were so accommodating and made sure we were taken care of during our wedding weekend. Stacy went above and beyond in helping us navigate the last-minute change.

Everyone loved it so much. They went on about how nice everything was, including the well-stocked rooms and the comfortable beds. There is a nice, large kitchen and dining room area, as well as a few common rooms on the first floor, and the dreamiest front lawn. We still had our rehearsal dinner and after-party here and it was the perfect setting for our celebration!

Stacy, Bianca, Kila, and everyone else at the Baker is so friendly and helpful, I can’t compliment them enough! We can’t wait to stay or host here again.

I spent decades driving by The Baker and never imagined that it could be this gorgeous. Just an absolutely wonderful place to spend a couple of nights.

Super walkable neighborhood with some fun restaurants. Amenities were great - enjoyed the local snacks and beer.

Housekeeper was super friendly. Super clean.

Highly reccomend the "Main Street View."

My wife and I stayed here recently traveling through Little Rock, and absolutely loved this hotel! It is historic and beautiful, and the 3rd-floor turret room where we stayed was so cool! The bed and the sheets were super comfortable, and they even have a sound machine in the room. The mini-bar with snacks and even some local brews was a really nice touch and we appreciated them! Great location, with a first-class coffee shop about 100 yards away. Would highly recommend this place and would love to stay again on our next trip through town.
