My husband and I had the best experience at Swans Island Co location! Cheryl was very knowledgeable and helpful in walking is through the different fabric types and answering our questions. When it came down to it, we bought three cotton blankets that are going to look amazing in our home and keep us very comfortable!

Lovely shop out in the country! Store staff was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Several rooms highlight their amazing home goods! There is also a sale section for limited items and odds and ends. Yarn is lovely and special! If you are lucky, you’ll see someone weaving one of their lovely specialty items. We had a picnic out front after shopping! Perfect stop!!

Terrific company with extraordinarily high-quality products. Check out their handwoven blankets, they're beautiful and highly functional too. Many products are made with organic wool or cotton, a big plus in my book. Very nice folks to do business with as well.

When we come to Maine we always go to both stores, one in downtown Camden and the other outside of Camden. As far as the quality of product, 5 stars plus. We have purchased 4 blankets in the past few years and customer service has always been excellent however, very different this year. First we went to the main showroom/store outside Camden.
When we entered the front door there were 2 people behind the counter talking. There was one other customer in the store. This customer went to the counter and paid and left the store. We were never greeted when we came in and as we walked to the counter area to look at items no one said anything, no hello, can we help you nothing. We went back in to another room because my wife was looking at some sale items to purchase and still no help so we left, no purchase. We then went into Camden and stopped at this store and to our dismay, same thing. Blonde haired lady behind the counter looked up at us said nothing and went back to what she was doing. A few minutes later a lady entered and they started talking, I assume friends and still no help. Based on all our other times in the stores this is very different customer service and potential sales were lost. We no longer attempt to get service from employees who don't want to help we just leave the establishment. Will not be back this year and will not purchase on line. I hope this situation gets rectified, they have a good product. We were in both stores 10 minutes plus at each store. Plenty of time to see if assistance could be offered. Not a hater, just expect good customer service if I am going to spend our hard earned money in your business.

beautiful and so soft! I saw their products in their Camden store, but they didn't have the blanket I wanted in King size, so I went to their main store. I love it!!

The woman behind the counter was friendly, warm, and a wealth of knowledge. The woolens are soft and luxurious, and nearly all of them are handmade in Maine from materials sourced in Maine. We went up the road a bit to visit the "mill" where the magic happens and were welcomed warmly there, too, and given a brief tour. Such nice people and wonderful products!

This is a review of Swanns Island Company's customer service. It's known that the company weaves and makes fine textiles. They have for over 30 years. What is also true of Swanns Island is that they have world class customer service. Due to a misunderstanding on my part of the work that is necessary to complete a Swanns Island throw after it is ordered, often woven to order, hemmed and blocked, I wrote to Cheryl and Rachel to express my disappointment that a Valentine's Day present would not arrive in the time I hoped. They replied with apologies and expedited my order. Today, February 13, 2023, the throw arrived. As you might imagine I'm thrilled. Great products and great service are not often found together. If my wife takes the pleasure in the throw that I have had in the ordering we will have a fine article that will contain special memories. Thank you Cheryl, thank you Rachel. Thanks to everyone at Swanns Island for such fine service.
