Update: We’ve been here 2 years now!

Pros:
- Affordable rent
- Pretty good maintenance team
- New management
- Decently safe (we did just get robbed through, check cons list since, nothing else has happened)
- Pool + Gym + Computer Lab & game/hangout area
- Right next to the highway with easy access
- Right on MLK

Cons:
- Staff told us before we moved in that there are somewhat often robberies, specifically car robberies. In the past month, my fiancé has been stolen from along with several other people in the same group of units.

-My neighbors have been stolen from multiple times, they’ve requested cameras be installed for safety. Office refuses to install cameras.

-Maintenance team is somehow allowed to unlock your door and put your Amazon packages inside even if you’re not home. Seems fishy to me.

-Gym recently has been messy

-Very strict on storing even small things like a small grill on your patio- restricted

-We have good neighbors around us, but I’ve ran into quite a few rude ones

-No place to store bikes

-Our unit specifically and I know for sure one other persons who used to live at Southern View- our units get very hot even with the AC on. Not an AC problem, but an insulation problem. Cheap windows and there are visible cracks around the main door where you can see light and your patio lol- not good for your electric bill

I have been living in the Southern View about seven months, so far it is amazing. It is safe, beautiful, organized and have good maintence.
I gave 4 stars because sometimes it is a little bit noisy. I do not think it is a big deal, but sometimes it happens.

I absolutely love my apartment, the staff, and the environment. I live with my toddler and we love it. The reviews on here have always confused me because the staff have been helpful and kind from the jump. Never had a single issue. If you treat people with respect then you’ll get respect back. Maintenance is super quick and they address any problems you have without a second thought. This is my second apartment with them and each time the apartment is clean and ready to go when I move in. Thanks guys!

Great management and staff. They are helpful and are fast to fix maintenance orders. Had my washer break late Friday evening they had it fixed Saturday morning. The leasing staff are very informative than other Lindsey Run apartments. If they didn’t know a question I had they would ask another employee and give me a correct answer and not some bull. Great location and not bad apartments. Wish the cabinets were all dark wood and the counter tops were granite. Overall best place to live.

Lived here for two years. Had very little interaction with management which to me is a plus, they were not overbearing or bugging us. Complex is quiet which makes me worry that I was the loud neighbor. Decent gym which saves me however much a gym membership costs. Free and ample parking. Well maintained property, always felt safe. Only complaint is that I needed to extend my rent one month as I was moving out of state and now I have to couch surf for a month, absolutely no leniency to extend even for a month after two years of on time payments.

Do not get this place. First we were told when we move in our payment would be 600, then we move in and we are told we have to pay 750. Second our apartment was flooded and we only had a week left of living there we called and were told we would only be required pay the first quarter due to the walls having bubbles of water in them and the carpets being soaked with water and the alarm going off for 4 plus days. Then when payment comes we were told to pay the full 750 and not the first quarter. Very bad communication they will try to scam you from your money.

By far the worst experience I’ve ever had. They harassed me for a month about renting through them. I finally gave in and asked what they had available. They told me. I applied right after I hung up. Within 2 hours I got a call saying they are full. I PAID $60 for an application when apparently they had no availability the entire time. THEY LIED. I told the girl I wanted a refund. They refused. I filed a dispute, and now they’re charging me $110.
All this place cares about is the money, not how they treat people.

I lived in Southern View for 2 years. When I was there, everything was great because when I request something for fixing, they would do it within 1 day which is great. However, the worst part of living there is when you are leaving. I was supposed to receive my deposit within 2 weeks after I finished my lease but It has already passed 7 months and I'm still waiting my deposit. I even went there and they weren't able to help me because they don't manage the money and gave me a number to call. Everytime I call and ask for the resident relations, nobody asnwer!
