Awesome operation and we’re lucky to have it open to the public. Friendliest people ever. Service was incredible (gave me free butter). The day i was there they were selling lobster rolls outside under a tent. Nice clean outlet inside. They post specials weekly that are hard to pass up. Lobsters and steamers were clean, sweet and tasty. They cooked the lobster for no extra charge. Most importantly, they serve as whole sellers for local lobstermen keeping Maine’s lobster industry. Highly recommend.

This business is absolutely the best! We shopped around and found them to have the best price, service and overall quality and customer experience as the best! We get lobsters at least once a week and have never been disappointed one bit. Any size is available! Emily runs the front like a pro. Grab some of the frozen Clam Shack chowder from the freezer( it’s the best… we’ve tried a lot) and dinner is done!! What a treasure!!!

Rock bottom prices, top notch service, fantastic availability, and of course the freshest Maine lobster one can purchase! Super convenient for a quick stop off Route 1 or 95!!! Doesn't make sense to buy lobster anywhere else, especially if you live south of Maine!!☺️ Will continue to make the drive here any day of the week, and recommend you do too!

Found this place after a local off the boat place that we usually always travel to from NH to grab lobsters... told us the day before they would be open "unless there is a hurricane" just to drive 2 hrs and find out they were in fact closed, even with an open sign up. This place, Southern Maine Lobster Co popped up on my Google finds. Friendly staff AND they have better prices! Our new favorite lobster place from here on out. Thank you!

$55 for 1 pound of lobster meat (lobster tail/claw/legs). Lobster meat was tough.

So, if you donʻt mind cleaning/cracking open the lobster yourself, buying it by the pound might be a better price point. And hopefully since it is fresher, it wonʻt be as not as tough.

We purchased 16 pounds of steamers on Friday July 9, 2021 for a family function. This is the first time we have purchased from So. Maine Lobster and I have to say they were OUTSTANDING! Sweet, tender and absolutely no sand in them. We will definitely purchase more from them as well as lobsters. Staff were very helpful and pleasant. Thank you. Ken
