Cute atmosphere , we did go on a busy Saturday morning so the service was a little slow and there was a bit of confusion with one of the hostess when we arrived but the manager made it all better , bless her . The 'fried chicken' and waffles were a little dry , and the eggs were overcooked at the bottom, that I had to cut them with a steak knife , lol. I think it was just a bad time, I don't know, but I will definitely try them out again .

So in town for business and needed a coffee and some breakfast. The place only had a few people eating which had me worried. My server was awesome! She recommended the krab Benedict. Biscuit was perfect. Light and fluffy. Although I suspect imitation crab based on the coloring I saw. The crab cake had really good flavor. Eggs were just like I like them. Over easy. Over all the breakfast was really good and look forward to checking the place out again.

The chicken fried steak was pretty good. They make s great gravy to go with it along with a small salad. Also had an old fashioned that was good. Everything came out together , including the loaded fries I ordered as an appetizer, not a big deal but would have been nice to have them spaced out a little.
My only disappointment was the loaded fries were the frozen crinkle cut kind. For the price, I would have expected hand cut.

Good food, friendly service. Highly recommend the fried green tomatoes. I couldn’t get enough of them. Chicken fried steak was great. The mashed potatoes were a little more dry and crumbly than I prefer but the gravy was really good. The burgers are good, not too dry. We will definitely be back.

My family was visiting our daughter for a University of Arkansas Football game, and we just happened to see this establishment while going down Weddington in Fayetteville. The food, the service, and the location were all awesome. We will definitely go back when we are in town from McKinney, Texas.

Started out rough. Can't recommend any of the items on the Sweet list, they are reheated not made fresh. But the Breakfast was great. I had the wrapped egg with the yogurt parfait. We also had the biscuits and gravy with potatoes, the chicken and waffle, and the loaded waffle. Everything was yummy. The coffee is onyx and we enjoyed the vanilla latte and the hot chocolate. I would recommend this place for breakfast, sans the sweet treats.

I was .making a surprise visit to NWA with my son and decided to try a new place to eat. One reason we picked Southern Food Company is with a little driving through the Walmart Parking lot we could enter and leave at a stoplight.
The atmosphere was not what we expected. I would say it was a little less granny's place and more southern city comfort. There was only one waitress most of the time we were there for lunch and she did an exceptional job if keeping up with everything as the restaurant continued filling.
I chose a lunch special, 1/2 sandwich and 1/2 salad. I went with the turkey in both, a very wise choice. It was smoked and so tasty I put some from the salad aside to eat alone later. This time I did take pictures because it was so beautifully served, I remembered. My son was more traditional. He had the chicken strip and fries with honey mustard. The honey mustard was so good I considered asking if they sold it by the bottle.
Price as expected for the conditions we found. I am posting a photo of the Ladies as it was in keeping with the atmosphere.
I definitely recommend Southern Food!

It's all home made there, fresh and very good. Chicken fried steak was real steak, home made mashed potatoes, and fresh green beans. Even the gravy was real home made. Wife had the club sandwich that was more than she could eat. A little on the pricey side, but worth it!
