If I could, I would give this company a ZERO. They delivered a new pellet stove last April 2024 and said they would service it. I called them in November for service on the stove and the guy came 3 weeks later, and after 2 hours the technician came upstairs and said the auger motor was not working so I ordered one from the manufacturer. I informed Shiretown on December 15 that the motor had come in and could they come install it. I asked to speak with the owner but no calls came from him. No response, I called every day for 2 weeks stating I’m sick and need heat in Northern Maine. Two weeks go by, and I get a call they have jobs to do and they would be here next day. Two technicians showed up, damaged my stove, never fixed anything and then I got a bill of $368 which I refuse to pay because they did squat. It’s the end of February and I still don’t have a working pellet stove! Do not expect any kind of customer service from this company, they’re a ZERO and I’m reporting them to the BBB.

Have used them twice and it's like pulling teeth to actually get an appointment. I have also tried to schedule early in June as well, but they weren't accepting appointments for cleaning. Every time I call, they say they will call me back and never do. In addition, their prices are high for the quality of work. I deeply wish another company serviced our area.

I have been on their "waitlist" for 4 months. Any time I call, they either tell me that they are not to my area yet or they tell me that "he will call me". Impossible to get an appointment.

Initially everything was great. This company was a pleasure to work with and they did good work. However, now that I have a chimney leak (only after the second year) and need a repair, they are nowhere to be found. Office staff have made it clear that new jobs are their priority. I’m constantly given the response, “I’ll have to wait for the boss to get back before I can do anything.” I’ve contacted them weekly for several weeks and have gotten nowhere. All the while I’m cleaning up water from finished wood ceilings and hardwood floors every time it rains. This is the first bad review I’ve ever posted but felt compelled to do so by the total lack of responsiveness to existing customers. I would highly recommend contracting with a company that places value in their customers and is responsive when something goes wrong. Shiretown is not that company.

If I could give 0 stars I would. They are all happy to sell you something, but when you have to get it repaired they forget, they know you. I had my fireplace installed Mid summer when I went to use it ,it didn’t work. waiting three months to get it fixed. Every time I call then tell me another lie. The Customer Service sucks

I have placed numerous calls to this place of business. I have spoken with Kylie about having an above ground pool installed. I have been told that I would get return phone calls and emails with information on ordering etc. I never received the email so I again placed a call, spoke to another representative and was told Kylie would get back to me, she did call me back and I was assured that she would send me some information on ordering a pool ( I did offer to come into the store as well). I wouldn't typically chase after a business like this but I haven't had any luck with finding pool installation in my area, your website says that you cover my town. I have never received the promised email. Very dissapointed in your customer service. Good for you that you have so much business that you don't need mine.

The worst stove company in maine. Please do not waste your time or money. They damaged our stove and installed incorrectly in such a way that voids our warrenty. We've been calling texting and emailing for over a week trying to have them fix there mistake. We were met with an argumentative secretary unwilling to help. We will reinstall ourselves. We only wish we didn't pay 1000$ for the installation that would burn our home down.
