A Most Regrettable Experience at Conant Acres, Triumphed by Sandy River Farms

In the realm of customer service and business etiquette, my recent experience at Conant Acres Farms was, to put it mildly, abysmally disappointing. Our simple request for four gallons of milk, to be reserved for a mere three hours, was initially met with what seemed like competent assurance. Alas, this assurance was but a facade.

Upon our return at the agreed hour, we were greeted with a baffling scenario: not only was our milk sold to others, but also we were informed, quite nonchalantly, that replenishment was a distant prospect of four days. One could perhaps overlook such an oversight, yet what transpired next was unforgivable.

The matriarch of Conant Acres, in an outburst most unseemly for a lady of her stature, proceeded to berate us, her tone escalating to a cacophony of unprovoked fury. It is one thing to err in a business transaction; it is quite another to assail a customer with verbal vitriol.

In stark contrast, I must extol the virtues of Sandy River Farms, located at 560 Farmington Falls Rd, Farmington, ME 04938. This exemplary establishment, open round-the-clock, not only offers raw whole milk at a more palatable price point but does so with a level of service and decorum that is the hallmark of true professionalism.

In conclusion, whilst I am a staunch supporter of local enterprise and have previously enjoyed the milk from Conant Acres, I find myself unable to countenance such discourteous treatment and unprofessional conduct. Henceforth, my patronage, and indeed my recommendation, lies firmly with Sandy River Farms.

They make the BEST frozen custard. If is better then any homemade ice cream. It comes in pints, quarts and half gallons.? I like he coconut. Wonderful atmosphere. 😊

My husband and I got very sick after eating the icecream. There arent any expiration labels so I either got expired or contaminated food. Several days later and we are both still sick. Never buying from here again. Would love a refund!

Delicious heavy cream and blueberry bread. I bet their ice cream is tasty as well (very few ingredients), but didn't stick around Farmington long enough to find out.

Also: they sell raw milk (across the street)--call and find out how to purchase it (though it's also sold at 'Better Living Center' "downtown").

Great stop especially if you have kids. Yummy custard and a friendly goat and donkey to meet. We stocked up on homemade jams, meats and fresh baked goods. Highly recommend it!

Love this store. The have the best cream, among other things. Unfortunately, their cream separator broke and they have not had any of late. Had to resort to cartons of heavy cream from Hannaford.

They have everything you need. including pasteurized and unpasteurized cow milk butter fruits and vegetables. they even make homemade desserts

My friend called this place as she is trying to start a business and wanted info on pricing. The lady working there answered the phone with a greeting. When my friend asked about pricing the lady hung up the phone on her without saying anything and than when we called back the lady picked up the phone and hung up. Very bad business practice from our experience and we will definitely not be doing business with them ever.
