Definitely deserves every award it's won, and may it win many more. The woman who checked me in obviously took pride in the hotel and her town. A trait you don't see much anymore in chain hotels. I felt extremely safe (I travel alone and felt comfortable leaving my stuff in the car). The room was spacious and very clean. I slept well. The breakfast was great for a Rodeway (included biscuits and gravy). The morning checkout guy was just as gracious. I'm tempted to travel that route again just to stay at the Rodeway Inn. It was the cheapest and nicest stay of my whole cross country journey (and the other places I stayed were Comfort Suites).

The lady who checked-in us was very helpful in providing information about Hot Springs downtown, what are the important places in that area, information about where to find Hot Springs and Cold Springs water (aka Happy Hollow Spring on Google Maps) which we wouldn't have known otherwise, and also about the free parking lot in the downtown.

I really appreciate her guidance. She could have just checked us in and done with her job, but she went beyond to help us understand a bit more about the Hot Springs area on top of our own research.

Rooms were clean and Breakfast was decent. The location is like a mile away from downtown.

I don't normally stay at Rodeway Inn, but due to great reviews and price we gave it a try. I was pleasantly surprised! It is located very close to Magic Springs which is a bonus after a long park day. Other locations are fairly close to drive to also.
PRO'S: Friendly staff. updated rooms. price. room amenities including fridge, microwave, coffee pot, hairdryer, iron and ironing board. Queen beds vs double. Shade keeps light out well.
Neutral: Beds are firm but are new and well protected with a plastic mattress cover, another mattress cover and then sheets. Outside entrance but felt safe. No elevator. Pool was closed for season. I didn't try breakfast.
CON'S: Pillows were terrible. 3 small, thin pillows per queen bed. I suggest bringing your own. The bathroom ceiling was low. It felt low to me at 5'8 and I couldn't fully stretch arm up. I couldn't find any tissue.

Overall, I would consider staying here again. Especially for the price. It's fine for just sleeping in. There's lots to do in the Hot Springs area!
