QCUSD is an amazing “A” rated district! Our family has been blessed to be a part of this district for the last 7 years. We have been impressed with the quality of the teachers and staff in this district. The teachers are passionate about what they do and it shows. They offer so many great parent information programs and are very involved in the community. We moved to Queen Creek to be a part of this district and it was the best decision that we could have ever made!!

Queen Creek School District is a great public school district. It has high quality teachers, good school leadership, and well maintained schools. The approach to teaching is giving our children the foundation to learn, excel, and succeed in school and beyond. Jack Barnes Elementary is providing an outstanding, quality education for my son. The teachers are dedicated and create a warm and nurturing environment for the students to learn in. They push children towards success and encourage good character. There is a great small town feel about the school and we immediately felt welcome when we moved here.

My experience is with the Special Education Department. My son is autistic and we have had nothing but one horrible experience after another from the so-called Lead Psychologist to the Queen Creek Transportation services. The Lead Psychologist removed a service from our son's IEP without our knowledge or any testing to say he no longer needed that service. She has tried to make sure Queen Creek Unified School District gives him as little service as possible. The transportation was fine until our son got the present bus driver and the bus aid. Today the two of them put our son (non-verbal) in horrible danger. When they were confronted, neither one of them wanted to take responsibility for what they did. I have had to speak to the Director of Transportation (Ed) several times due to the behavior of this same bus driver.

The Special Education Department (including the transportation department) needs to be investigated and purged. It is already hard for special needs children and their families--we do not need uncaring, unconcerned, and unaccountable people working with our children. If you do not have the heart for this type of work...please, please do us all a favor and find another career choice.

Some of the people that work in this department have shown poor quality of work ethics and do not service to work with our children. If I could have not given one star I wouldn't have...QC has one star because I had to pick at least one.

I would not recommend this school district for a special needs child...please look somewhere else...they cannot and will not help your child!

So they forced their employees to teach online from their classrooms, and less than a week in they have a number of Covid cases. Now the leaders STILL want students to be back on campus Aug. 17? Why would any parent send their children to a place with such a reckless and callous view of human life? If this is how Queen Creek treats their own employees, why would I trust them to keep my child safe?

They value money over keeping separation of church and state. At gateway polytechnic academy they let a church put banners up all week and park their trailers in the parking lot during the week. A Public school should not be associating with a church on any other day other than Sunday when the church uses the facility.

If you have a child with special needs, especially older children, like mine in the last two years of high school, be forewarned - take all measures to get an advocate and child find because they will not. They have unfortunately proven to me that they will go to extreme measures to not only NOT support your child or you as a parent but push their agenda and do whatever it takes, even at your child's expense. It's been the most eye opening and disheartening experience I could never have imagined. I'd give a negative review if I could.

What an amazing experience working with Stephanie Ingersoll, Marketing and Public Relations for the Queen Creek Unified School District! My son, qualified for the State Geography Bee for Queen Creek Middle School and Stephanie set up several media appearances for him to share his success. Stephanie was so professional and made everyone feel so comfortable. It was a day we will never forget and so grateful to be part of this district. A big thanks to Principal Dr. Wolfe and my sons Social Studies teacher Tracy House for all their efforts.

Not suitable to Sped kids, especially kids on the spectrum. When the school psychologist tells you that your child will grow out of the concerns you report, run! Run far way.
There were wonderful teachers and principals like Brian Butson, but they can’t make up for the sheer lack of ignorance in the SPED management department.
I recommend leaving the district and seeking a ESA - Empowerment Scholarship Account. It is helpful for those with kids with significant needs or unmet needs. If you choose to stick around do your homework and don’t let them push you around. Otherwise your child will fall through the cracks.
