Los precios son a veces demasiado altos, aunque la marca del propio supermercado está bastante bien. Normalmente, no hay variedad de productos y faltan opciones. Los mejores productos Durán muy poco y no reponen

Location: Alright, let's talk about Publix in Downtown Tuscaloosa, AL. It's right there in the heart of things, which is super convenient. If you're living nearby or you're a student at the University of Alabama, you've got yourself a grocery store within arm's reach.

Parking: Now, here's a big plus - they've got a humongous parking lot right upfront. Finding parking at some grocery stores can be a bit of a treasure hunt, but not at Publix. That's a definite win.

Food: When it comes to food, Publix plays in the big leagues. They've got a smorgasbord of options - Deli, Produce, Bakery, and Grocery items. It's like a food lover's paradise.

Price: But here's where it might make you wince a bit. Publix isn't exactly the bargain bin of grocery stores. If you're watching your pennies, you might want to explore other options in town.

Quality of Food: Now, let's talk taste. People say Publix holds its own in the quality department. It's been compared to Fresh Market and Sprout, so you're not skimping on taste.

Staff: Alright, now for the not-so-great part. Brace yourself because the folks at the deli aren't exactly winning awards for customer service. Some have described them as a bit on the rude and unhelpful side. Not exactly what you want when you're just trying to snag some deli meats for your sandwiches. The older African American dude behind the hot bar was rude and aggressive.

Wait Time for Food: And speaking of the deli, if you're in a hurry, you might want to think twice. It's not exactly a speed demon over there, and the employees might not be the cheeriest bunch you've ever met.

Environment: On a positive note, the store itself is pretty spick and span. It's organized and clean, so you won't have to navigate through a grocery store maze to find what you need.

Overall Impression: So, here's the deal. Publix has a lot going for it - location, a foodie's dream selection, and plenty of parking. But then there's the not-so-friendly deli staff and the wait times that might test your patience. If you've got a budget to stick to or you're looking for a place with better service, you might want to scout around a bit before settling on Publix.

I placed an online order in the deli for a sub to pick up at 7:50. I arrived, and the sub wasn’t done at 7:50. I went to the sub counter to ask about my order, and after standing there for a few minutes with nobody up there, someone came up. He asked who it was for, and grabbed the receipt out of the printer, untouched since I placed my order at 7:20 PM. I was then informed they were out of ALL bread, other than a small, end piece of 5 grain, which was not what I ordered. I asked if I got white bread from the bakery, if he could use that, and was told “No, you’ll have to pay for it.” I know this is false as other stores have done this for me in the past. I went to the customer service desk and was met with Dylan. I patiently waited until he was off the phone and asked “is the bakery and sub bar done for the night?” This store closed at 11 PM, and I asked this question at 8 PM. He told me if there was nobody back there, then probably. I asked why the store was open so late if they shut down all food 3 hours early, and was given a hostile response, as he clearly didn’t want to deal with me. He walked off and said he had other things to do. I asked if he was management, and he said that’s not his department. After this experience, I will not spend another dime of my hard earned money with Publix. I have shopped with Publix for years and have never been met with such dismissive treatment.

This is one of the more heavily populated stores, so keep that in mind if you plan to visit—it’s located near the University of Alabama. The lines at the deli, where you can get sandwiches made, are usually long, so I opted out and grabbed some chicken from the hot tray instead. Unfortunately, the chicken was a bit dry, but not completely unappetizing. I was able to skip the main checkout line thanks to the self-checkout machines. Overall, the staff was friendly and helpful, and several employees spoke as I walked past them, which added a nice touch to the experience.

The fact that the business is located conveniently on the campus location, is great. That is a variety for the students, parents, staff and families really can walk comfortably minus the car traffic mixed in with walking can be a little frustrating and safety factors. Overall great experience and great environment.
