Yikes. I’m so sorry. The employees here were respectful, the store clean, and organized. However, I’m shocked at the limited brand and style knowledge. I brought in several new with tags boutique items and they passed on literally everything but the old t shirts I had. They offered next to nothing for those items as well. I personally wouldn’t waste my time unless you want to make nothing. They were selling higher end brands for $6 dollars in there that they just didn’t know. So I guess for buying this place is great.

Cute clothes, fair prices! However it’s hit or miss with selling. It depends on who is looking through it and I feel like some people go way too fast and don’t even look at the brand or condition. If they don’t think it’s what they need, they don’t even unfold it. Others take the time to actually look and they usually end up buying more. I don’t have much and if I didn’t need the extra money I wouldn’t be coming in here. I used to work at Plato’s in Denver and it wasn’t as picky as the ones in AZ. Worst of all, if the style of some of the clothes look worn, they won’t take them. Like some clothes were made to look worn and distressed. Like sweaters. But they are brand new. I also have things that are brand new that are in excellent condition and what they say they are looking for, and they are cute. But they didn’t take them. So that sucks too. Not to mention I have to drive far to come here. I just wish everyone would look through every item thoroughly and treat every customer the same.

I brought in my clothes the other day and they took a few things but explained to me that they were full in some categories and to bring them back in a few weeks to look at again. I had shopped around for a little and it everything appeared to be reasonably priced compared to other thrift stores. Overall I had a good first experience and will definitely be coming back soon!

The employees here were very rude to my wife and kept snickering as if bringing them clothes to sell is somehow embarrassing which is ironic considering they work there. They looked like they just got out of bed and went to work as one of them was literally wearing sweats, it was unprofessional and kind of trashy. You buy people's old clothes, that's your business model but that's no reason to not have presentable and courteous employees. The offer they eventually gave her was absurd even from a resale standpoint so she declined it and will likely just sell them on Mercari or donate them, either way we won't be going back here to purchase or sell and I wouldn't recommend you do either.

I normally have a good experience at buy-sell-trade stores including Platos. Today is Sunday and many of them are closed so I was happy to see this one is open and buying on Sunday. I check in 2pm and they text a link that shows you the update on the completion plus an estimate time of completion and it showed 330pm. A bit longer than usual, but I'm willing to wait. 330pm comes along and my items haven't been looked through or sorted yet so I call to get another estimate time and was told 45 more minutes. Instead of waiting in parking lot like I did for the first hour and a half, I decide to go get something to eat while I continue to wait. After I was just told it would be 45 minutes, they complete it 15 minutes later but now I've driven away and am stuck in another store. Not even half an hour after they let me know they were done, they send me another text basically saying "hurry up and get your things". I finally get there and pick up my stuff and mention to the girl the wait time was a bit inconvenient and she says yes they had a lot of people bring items in today. Ok fine, but when I called for another estimate and was told 45 minutes (after ive already waited an hour and a half because your system doesnt refresh the time) and I leave to kill time and you finish 15 minutes after that estimate and then text me to hurry up and pick up my things, that's unacceptable. That is a waste of people's time and incompetent and inefficient as a business. I resell clothing part time, but I can assure this place I will never come back and urge others not to either. Seek other ways to sell clothes, don't support a business that doesn't respect your time and also doesn't apologize to you after you complain. If this was my first time selling, I would probably be naive and not know, but when I'm used to the business, your excuses and inefficiency don't go unnoticed.

DONT GO. first off horrible good customer service no greeting at all when you walk in and it looks like they are even upset to have to look through clothes which is crazy because that’s what they get paid for. took a bucket full of jeans and brand new clothes for them to offer me $2. you’d think they would take new clothes since the clothes they do sell is all washed out and smells horrible. save your time and don’t go here

I went to go sell my clothes at this location and I didn’t have a very good experience. No greetings as I walked in. I took in a whole bucket with many cute tops for other young girls like me and i was told to wait about 15 minutes. Not even 10 minutes go by and they were already done looking. So I can guess they barely glanced at the brands of the tops. They only wanted to buy one shirt from me and it was a Brandy Melville shirt. For 4 dollars. If you don’t have a Brandy shirt they most likely wont buy from you! Don’t waste your time. And most of the clothes are overpriced.

Walked into the store, and immediately was hit with the smell of weed. The front two ladies, a small brunette specifically, were very kind and took care of my clothes, but a blonde lady behind the counter was obviously high. I can’t imagine that she would be in charge of the ladies that helped me, but it seemed she was barking orders in-between hits off her dab pen. I waited and walked around while they looked through my clothes, they have a great selection of women’s tank tops, purses and shorts. When I was ready to check out, the blonde lady LAID ON THE COUNTER! I was blown away by the kindness and respect of all other employees, but I don’t want to expose my kids to an environment of substance abuse! As much as I love Plato’s Closet. I will NOT be coming back again.
