This is the worst utility company I have ever had to deal with when I first opened my account. I had just split up with my ex. I was still on his credit card and he told me I could use it to pay my deposit. Well, he decided to get mad at me and claim fraud on his card, not realizing that the water company would shut my water off. We then had to go down there and pay $500 to get it turned back on which my ex paid willingly and also called his credit Company and told them that he was just upset and that it wasn’t fraud now the supervisor of the water company has blocked my account from being able to pay online or over the phone. I have called multiple times and explain to them that it was not fraud and that my ex would call them and tell them and they could also speak to the credit card company or give them any evidence or proof that they need the supervisor has yet to call me back. It has been months. It is a huge inconvenience, having to go down to the water company and pay it being that they are closed. I have a house cleaning business so my hours fluctuate all the time. I don’t understand how blocking me from being able to pay my bill when I am trying to pay my bill on time does anything I understand and I’m not complaining about them shutting off my water that was my ex‘s fault that was all his doing, but I am complaining about is the fact that they have blocked me from being able to pay my bill causing me a huge inconvenience and have not even called back they also do not work with anyone on anything. They will not give you time to pay your bill. They will shut your ass off right away every other company in Arizona that I’ve ever had to work with at least gives you some time. If you can’t pay it this company will not budge for nothing money hungry and horrible that the supervisor blocked my account and has not even called me back after I have called multiple times asking to speak to her the worst!

I've yet to have a bad experience with Peoria and have used them for a very long time at various residences. Seems like many of the 1-star reviews are people who were late on bills or upset because they didn't get special exceptions for their individual situation. None of that applies to me or the good service I've received time and time again.

I have been a customer for more than 5 years, and had an account set up for them to recieve direct payments straight from my bank every month. I have never had a late or missed payment. So about the 12th or 13th of June i get a call saying that the water department "screwed up" and that i would have to re-establish my account. I verified the number, and then worked with the person to resolve the issue, reasonably believing that the issue had been resolved. Apparently not, as of today, 12 July. Has anyone else had a similar experience?

Had a lot of money problems in 2023 and 2024 with the death of my mom I tried to work with these folks and get the bill paid on time but they do not show any slack whatsoever the last week I get in a wreck somebody pulls out in front of me on 67th Avenue total of my car I'm injured I'm like all damaged up they send me a notice paying say pay by the 8th or else and then the 9th I make the payment because I couldn't get there to the 8th and you turn it off again the most ruthless uncooperative insincere mean people an operation I've ever dealt with I've known Loan Sharks nicer than these people I can't wait to move and get a different provider than these people excuse my French but these people are mean and they suck and they love to shut off water apparently must be an inside joke at the company or something

Disgusting! Absolutely Disgusting! These people think that if ur late for whatever reason they will charge you $56 for a late fee. If I'm late on a bill that's $90 already! What makes you think I can afford almost half my bill as a late fee charge. Everytime you call city of peoria they are rude. They write threatening emails and threatening voice-mail are left. I had a slab leak so i was waiting for my bill to be adjusted and they left me a vm saying I'm being disconnected today so I call nope not but that's the threat they leave you on vm+ this is absolutely the worst. I think they are worse than aps. They either talk to you like yiu are stupid or are just plain rude. I guess I now have to go to a counsel meeting to see about these ridiculous late fees!

Believe these low ratings, more than just mine. City of peoria will cut off water without any prior communications. You're better off digging a well than dealing with them.

Very helpful staff. They informed me when they noticed, that my water usage was far above from what it was usually (30.000gal instead of 3-6000gal a month). Came out to my yard to meter several times when my landlord denied that there was a leak. When they finally detected not one but several huge wholes within the bursted irrigation pipes, the landlord finally admitted his responsibility and arranged the necessary repairs. Without the helpful and very professional mechanics from the utilities department there would had been many tousand gallons more water wasted. Which is not just a matter of money but a shame to our environment here in the desert.
