This is a review for their bike shop. These guys destroyed my crown race while attempting to install it, didn’t mention it when returning the fork to me, then refused to take any blame when confronted. Having worked as a mechanic for 3 years, this is either the result of not using the correct crown race setting tool or simple incompetence. It either case, it should have been brought to my attention, rather then destroying my equipment. A simple “sorry, we can’t do that” is completely fine, and I totally get that. This, however, was handled completely unprofessionally and left me with broken parts, wasted money, and an extremely bitter taste in my mouth. Don’t use this bike shop.

I stopped in to look at XS bikes. These guys were very knowlegable, genuine, kind and helpful. I loved the relaxed, no pressure vibe. Great to work with good people.

I was surprised they don't have in stock even the most basic nuts and bolts as I'm trying to fix a really nice classic bike in great condition. You got some attitude there too. I would go elsewhere if you are looking for bike parts.

This place originally installed our stove with a pipe straight up the ceiling and a bend at the top - cathedral ceiling. We called and asked if they could send someone to clean the chimney pipe and the workers came out and said oh it looks fine and left without cleaning, right before Christmas last year we had a chimney fire. The fire chief said he’s never seen a pipe installed like that before and suggested we have the stove moved. They came out and charged us to move it and gave us a huge run around about how it’s fine and they really shouldn’t need to move it and charged us 800+ dollars and then tried to connect the air intake at the bottoms with some tape… but never really connected the tape - it’s almost winter so I looked over the stove to make sure everything was ok and saw the tape was peeled back a bit and I touched it and found it was never reconnected - it’s to short to even reach the woodstove! I was never going to leave a review about my experience with this company and let it be but the owner Josh is extremely rude and arrogant, his workers don’t want to work, and the customer service is atrocious.

We've had several stoves/fireplaces installed by Northern Lights and they have all been wonderful experiences. Friendly and helpful staff at the store and the installers have all been great guys and very knowledgeable. They go out of their way to ensure a super professional installation. Excellent customer service on the back end as well. Will be a customer for life.

Original review: I went to the store to ask about purchasing a wood stove insert and having it installed. The man in the store seemed nice and interested, but when I emailed the measurements and photos to him several days later, he ghosted me. So I sent a followup email and filled out their "Contact Us" form on their website and even with Over a month of requests, they've completely ghosted me. They obviously don't need my business. But they could have at least given me the courtesy of a reply to any of my attempts to reach them.

Extremely poor pricing. Good turn around time on repairs, but extremely over priced on everything. Bought a product that anywhere else costs $18 total, final price at Northern Lights was over $40.
Go anywhere else to buy parts for a significantly better price, this shop is only good for the convenience of having parts available in a pinch.
