This team from Mid-Coast Energy systems of Damariscotta, Maine installed my state-of-the-art heat pump in one afternoon. They were absolutely top notch from the initial survey of the property to the very professional team who performed the complex installation like a team of surgeons . From tapping into my main electrical panel to installing the inside unit and the well hidden compressor under the deck, they did an excellent job. This well versed trio worked in tandem so well, you just knew they had done it a thousand times. The company did exactly what they said they were going to do and for the exact price. Even guided me to big state and federal refunds. Seems to be a rare find theses days. Great job.

We chose Midcoast Energy Systems for our heat pumps. Margaret came up with a plan we liked with cassettes on the lower walls instead of cutting into our ceilings. She is very nice to work with & we appreciate her giving us this option! Nick & Ethan installed the entire system within 4 days & we couldn't be happier! Hardworking, knowledgeable, friendly guys. The piping in the basement is clean & neatly done. The heat pumps work perfectly for AC which we have wanted for a long time. And the estimate we were given was the price we paid. Thank you Midcoast!

My overall experience has been very good. The service tech I have for my generator is great and is meticulous with his service. My only issue is I was not notified beforehand that I needed a new oil dip stick. I was called a week or so after having the head replaced on my generator and was told the tech was going to come by and swap out the dip stick that had been on order. What I took from the call was this was part of the 800.00 service I just had replacing the head or it was part of the 350.00 maintenance service I'd had only a few weeks prior to that. I was charged 130.00 to literally take out the old 30.00 dip stick and put the new one in. Paying for great service is one thing but this just seems a little off the charts. Once again, the service is great but I'd like to have been more aware on this issue.

Experienced amazing service on Sept 18. Our water pump stopped working in the evening of the 17th and we called Mid-Coast Energy the next morning to see if they could help. They were at the house within 2 hours of our call! The young men who showed up were professional, friendly, and got the job done quickly. We were so relieved and really thankful for a great customer experience. I don't relish another thing breaking on the house but glad to know this is a terrific company for when I need help again in the future. Keep up the good work guys!

I had a mini-split installed in my home and the process from the sale to planning and installation was seamless. I was kept updated all along. The installation with Joseph was fast and he made sure I knew the proper operation of it before he left. He was courteous and made sure that there was as little disruption as possible and was concerned and took proper steps to keep from bringing the snow inside. I am very happy with the product and VERY pleased with the service.

My one-stop contracting service. This is a great, homegrown company that has technicians who specialize in all different areas. I was so nervous starting a business in such a small town, but MCES makes the 40 minute drive every time I need them! They're handling all of my electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, heating AND water treatment!

Mid-Coast Energy Systems installed Mitsubishi split heat pumps, upgraded my electric panel, and added some outlets to the basement area. Professional from the minute they came to do an estimate. The paperwork outlined exactly what I would get and overall communications about the project was great. The team of installers worked together like a well -oiled machine- each taking on one role that feed the work of the others. (And I promised I would say how handsome they were - even behind the masks.) All done in a day and a half! A glitch in the final paperwork and rebate process was handled quickly and professionally. Although not the cheapest of the quotes- I'm confident that this was the right choice. Look forward to working with them again for service on the heat pumps or other projects!

I had Mid-Coast out to speak with me about my water heater that was giving off an sulfur smell due to corrosion of the Magnesium anodes. I was told to simply have the anodes changed to aluminum. This was a positive initial consult. The work was scheduled and 2 techs came out to do a 1 person job that took 10 minutes. They charged me 1.5 hours x 2 techs at $100/hour. They replaced one of the anodes with aluminum and the other with a magnesium anode, exactly what they told me that I should not have in the tank if it was going to sit for any amount of time. I called to inquire about the bill, (excessive technician time), as well as the fact that they did not replace the 2 anodes with aluminum, (as suggested). The manager who helped me was nice enough, and told me he'd look into it. He called me back and left me a message and told me to give him a shout back, which I did, several times, (with no return call). When I finally got to him after 5 tries, (VM left each time), he told me the company was standing it's ground on the bill. I do not recommend Mid-Coast. Buyer beware...they grossly overcharge and were not flexible when I told them they installed the wrong anode.
