Every single time I go into this store (and I visit often), I feel like I’m visiting friends. I am so impressed with the kindness and super friendliness of all I have been in contact with. Even recently, the manager easily accommodated a request I made. I was there twice on Friday and my husband and I stocked up! Even with a big crowd for sales, the staff were still so friendly and accommodating. I love this place!

I came into this store looking for some shoes and found boots. I really liked them and I also bought the special insoles also. I did their machine to know what insoles I needed. They unfortunately don’t have the right insoles but the manager gave me another pair that as she stated “ will work”. I went home tried the boots on and put new insoles in. The boots were zip up side ones and when I tied them and tried to take off they would not come off. I had to take the shoe laces and open them
Wider to get the boots off. The insoles were not supporting my feet and actually made my feet hurt more. I returned both items and while waiting my partner looked and saw that they actually had the right insoles for me. Yes they were cheaper but the manager lied to me. I will not be going back there at all. They lost my business!!

I worked with James at the Augusta location to pick out a new pair of exercise shoes and he spent at least 45 minutes working with me. He would bring specific shoe recommendations based on my feedback. As a neurodivergent person, to work with someone like this is super challenging and he made it as pleasant and comfortable as it could be. He was super kind, friendly, and knowledgeable about the shoes they sold and found me a pair that is already reducing my back pain. The level of service was OUTSTANDING!

I’ve been shopping at Lamey’s for over 25 years. And I’ve never had a problem with customer service until the past couple of years. Before when I would walk in the store, I would have an associate acknowledge me and asked me if I needed any help. But now I walk in and nobody looks at me, Even though I see associates not helping anybody. One day I decided to time it and I waited 20 minutes before someone actually noticed that I was walking around And looking at shoes. This also happened in the Bangor Location as well. I stood there for 15 minutes. Associates were walking past me and didn’t say a word. So it has happened to me twice in Augusta and once in Bangor. I don’t want to say that they are rude.. I don’t know if it’s poor training or if these particular employees don’t know what good customer is. Needless to say, I was dreading coming in the store today because of the last two experiences. It actually doesn’t make a person feel good. I found it ironic as I left the store today, That two women said, have a good day. And neither one of them Acknowledge my presence to begin with Or asked if I needed some assistance.

Sarah was great to work with! I’ve had chronic pain in my legs for longer than I can remember. She jumped into action! Measured my feet and educated me about why I’ve been experiencing discomfort as well as how to find the right footwear. I tried on 7 pairs of shoes! When the color I wanted wasn’t in stock for one I wanted, she placed an order! We went over care tips for long term ownership. Her costumer service went above and beyond! I won’t shop anywhere else

I went into the store looking for a pair of penny loafers with a leather sole. The associate and manager on that day both stated that they didn't think anyone made them that way anymore. I asked if I could special order and was told it could take up to 4 weeks to get. I left and went to the Florsheim site, found the exact shoe I described, I ordered it and was delivered on a week. Either your staff needs to familiarize themselves with product or be more willing to research the requested item. I admit I did not walk in there looking like a typical customer but that should not have caused me to be turned away ( not saying that is why it happen but it is a possibility). You lost a sale that day and I can promise I will not return to buy in the future.
