Beautiful lake that really beckons people to walk, relax, or just enjoy the beautiful views. Designed with active families in mind and fun city events. Probably one of the prettiest lakes in a hundred mile radius. The only downside is that there needs to be addl bathrooms. I could only find one and it was quite a hike to get there. People with young children will find this a perfect city resource to bring their young children. So much to do and plenty of open grassy areas for running around. Shady trees help to keep the picnic areas cooler in the summer. Along the lake and the walking trails are well maintained. Pet friendly with bags and trash to dispose of waste. Close to stores, so grab a bagged lunch and take it to the lake!

Sad that they built those apartments right next to it. Sometimes there are some riffraff hanging around.

Imagine working hard your whole life to live next to a lake, then you just have to walk around it listening to “loud Americans” talking on their cell phones.

Absolutely beautiful oasis of nature. So many paved walking paths you, your family, and pets will have a delightful walk or run without getting mucky even when it has rained a lot. There is also a playground, several swing sets, an outdoor amphitheater, some military bunkers (can't actually go in), a tranquil Veterans Memorial, a horseshoe area (bring your own set), a plethera of beautiful piers, several fun bridges to walk across, and a pavilon that can be reserved through Maumelle City.
There are definitely some parts that look like they could use maintenance, but overall, a wonderful place to visit.
There is only one bathroom that I could find, which was located right by the playground and was open when I visited. The water was shut off for winter, but I am assuming it will be on in spring and beyond.
From a photography standpoint, this park is amazing. So, many great places to take pictures of both group or individual, and nature is abundant for those photos as well.

Good place to walk, kayak, fish. You can bring kids n pets and have good time here. Nicely laid out road and pretty neat surroundings and can watch different waterfowl. Overall love this place. I fish here often, paradise for BASS if u can find them.

Beautiful park! Plenty of area for any kind of function. I especially loved it for Care & Recovery in the park! The amphitheater was great as well as the picnic area. I can’t wait to attend another event there. The grounds are well maintained and showed the beauty of Gods creation with some help from man.
