Graham and Olsen I have been to over 50 of their actions over the years. They do their job professionally. First and foremost they are working for the seller. Disgruntled bitters is a sad thing. For anybody whining that they did not get the item. Did not hold their hand up long enough.

Normally I wouldn't write a review on an horrible auctioneer because I would rather other people go to their auctions and not show up at one I am at. I spend tens of thousands yearly at auctions.
This auctioneer (male) is extremely unethical. I have talked to several other friends who attend auctions and they told me to stay clear of this auctioneer. I should have paid attention and not waste my time.
Their chief complaint was that he starts a bid with 2 numbers and when you state the lower number, he states the higher number to the person putting the numbers into the computer. He his also grumpy, rude and confrontational to customers, especially as the auction carries out. The people that work for him state this also. Just because they state it doesn't make it right.
There are several unethical complaints against him. I had several friends attend a previous auction of his. He was selling a a small ornamental statue that one of my friends was really wanting. He called out 25, 30 which is his way of suckering you in to the higher number. All auctioneers go with the lower number if there is no other bid. In most all cases where there is no bid, the auctioneer will go down on his price. But, in this case, one of his family members wanted it and instead of going down on the price he said sold for 25.
Noone knew that he was bidding on the item on behalf of a family member. Every other auctioneer I know will state that they are bidding on an item so that everyone knows. This auctioneer does not declare that.
In another instance, a friend was bidding on a Murphy bed. The auctioneer had a phone bidder and was on the phone with that person. Phone bidders are common. But, in this case as the bidding was slowing down, the auctioneer slowed down the bidding to describe a lot of detail to the person on the phone. They had placed a $400 max bid but the auctioneer. A phone bidder already knows what they are bidding on and the auctioneer should not become a salesman and slow the auction down to pressure the phone bidder to raise their bid. The auction should flow as if the phone bidder was there in person. My friend ended up with the item but had words with the auctioneer as well. He has spent thousands at this auctioneers auctions.
I have been a phone bidder before and it was bid or lose it.
I called the auctioneer out on his practice of adding to a bid several times. He got annoyed at being called out when I had bid on an item that I won. I stated 25 and he told the person inputting bids that I was at 30. When I said something to him this time, he told the inputter to cancel my bid and put in 35 for himself. I had enough and called him out on it.
I will never attend another of his auctions and if you decide to go and bid, beware of his unethical actions.
