Employees are overworked, but the food is soo good; it's where the locals eat. Tremendous takeout business, even better bakery! Haddock Chowder has huge chunks of fish, beet salad is excellent. Take a doggy bag home because you def want dessert from here.

Bangor Location: Food was good and fast, however, our server Ronnie was terrible (only one wearing the mask, older lady). Her personality was very very passive aggressive, she claimed she was being sarcastic. On top of that she messed up at every point of her service. Couldn’t remember what anybody’s drink, got mad when we asked for ketchup on our burger, she remarked, “it’s on the table!”. Once we got our food she never came to check up on us until we got her attention when she was cleaning a table next to us. We were her only table! My friend went like 15 minutes without a drink. On top of everything she somehow charged my card to my other friend’s bill, not sure how that can happen when we put our cards right with our separate bills. Like I said, food was great, but the service from “Ronnie” was very bad, she should not be a server anywhere. Hopefully next time I go there I don’t get her, because I will walk out!

Normally do not write reviews: first time at governors in Bangor. The look of the place is not the most appealing. Walked in with my wife, and three kids. The gentleman host was very kind. A female employee wearing a mask walked through with an ice cream scooping gesturing (in a shooing motion) at me and as I was trying to figure out after moving to three different spots guessing what she’s wanting of me - my wife had to tell me to step behind her to clear the aisle. I had kindly say, “let’s use our words.” and the lady was finally like - it’s easier to walk through. I looked at my wife and didn’t even give this place a chance.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Governors, and I must say, it was a truly exceptional experience. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm smile by the hostess, who promptly seated me at a cozy table by the window. But what really made my experience stand out was the outstanding service I received from the cashier, Cody.

Cody was friendly, attentive, and went above and beyond to ensure that I had everything I needed, he stood tall with a handsome smile. He took the time to explain the daily specials, made recommendations, and even offered to customize my order to suit my tastes. His enthusiasm and genuine interest in providing excellent service were evident throughout our interaction, and it really made a positive impact on my dining experience.

What impressed me most about Cody was his willingness to go the extra mile. When I asked for a modification to my order, he didn't hesitate or seem put out. Instead, he smiled and assured me that it wouldn't be a problem. His positive attitude and dedication to providing top-notch service made me feel valued and appreciated as a customer. Thanks to Cody's exceptional service, I left the restaurant feeling satisfied, not just with my meal, but with the entire experience. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for great food and outstanding service!

Breakfast special. $13.99. One egg, small amount of corned beef hash. No potatoes. One piece of toast. So to break it down. One egg, one piece of bread and half a cup of hash $13.99. REALLY? Did I mention almost $4 for a drink. At those prices the quality should be amazing. It's not. Four people at breakfast and it was $93. I will not be back

Saturday, March 8, 2025 - We arrived shortly after 11am and ordered breakfast. After 40 minutes of watching other tables order and be served, we inquired about our order that simply was not made. To the server’s credit, we did over him telling the cook that it needed to be a priority. Our server said the cook told him it should be ready in 10. Over 20 minutes had passed, we still watched other tables being served. Some people that arrived when did had already finished their meals and left. We asked for the manager, no sign of her either, our server did come back to apologize. The end result was an amazing meal at Harvest Moon Deli!
