We stayed one week and were very pleased with the campground and owners. Very quiet and friendly. The site was level and had full hookups for 45' coach. Lots of room. The owners were knowledgeable about all of the surrounding areas and gave us the best advice on when the best times to tour the area. Located in the middle of some historic and beautiful country just a short drive to Bar Harbor.

This campground is clean, peaceful, and secluded, yet close to all points you want to visit. We stayed in mid-October and the colorful trees in the camp were an added bonus. As far as the hosts go, a friendlier and kinder bunch cannot be found! Our only regret is we didn’t stay longer!

Not really happy with service at this campground. Mistake on our part we got there to early. Person at desk would not accommodate us when the site that we booked was empty. Decided to go to another campground who who accommodate us. So worth having to pay for another site. Campground was nicer and staff was much nicer and better service. Bar Harbor was much more accommodating and far more reasonable in price. Located closer to town and Acadia.
Regardless of what check in time. I get the rules. Every other place I’ve been if space is available will accommodate.

Read the rules before you book this place and it will explain it all. The campground is clean and very quiet all hours of the day. The transient sights were mostly empty during our stay this past August. We stayed a week and saw a lot of campers coming in for just one night, even on Friday and Saturday wich is odd for mid summer in such a popular area. The owners were there but don't expect to be smiled at or spoken to. The staff that live on sight are similar. As others have said in previous reviews you feel like your watch at all times for rule breaking. It's like staying with super strict parents that want you to be seen but not heard and I'm 49 yrs old. We weren't here to party, we aren't those kind of people. We didn't feel comfortable sitting outside by our fire pit the hole time we were there. On the plus side it was clean, quiet and I felt safe walking around withy dogs. The 5 mile and hour rule did keep the dust down but my truck wanted to die at this speed

Excellent location for Acadia national Park, big level sites, wide roads to get rigs in, super friendly owners, nice and quiet. Very clean bathrooms and laundry room. Reserve early cause the prices go up as they get full. I would stay again. No tents camping excellent WiFi and cell signal

Best campground we have stayed in in a while ! Went for a month and stayed 21/2 months! That’s how good it was ! Best people there for sure and so peaceful!!😊😊

Arrived in the rain looking forward to a relaxing three nites near Bar Harbor. Nice lady at desk said “You’re all paid…$260”. Excuse me…for how many nites? “Three!” Does that include my military discount? “Yes it does.” I puzzled, the reviews I saw for July 2023 were $63, a $67, and numerous $65. Why am I being charged so much? With that a man sitting in the room took over. “If you read our web page it says AND UP!!!!!!” No, I hadn’t noticed as I took what other reviews were saying…AND WITHOUT a sewer hookup!! WOW! They saw this 82 year old man, alone, com’in!! “Ya see when we get busy at 90% or better we raise our prices!” So if I owned a liquor store I should have one price for weekends and one for weekdays..,cause it’s busier on weekends? What school of economics did these folks not graduate from?||||As for the park, Heavy seasonal and what’s left are mainly dirt/rock/lite gravel pads, most dirt and rock between sites with sparse grass/weeds. Disgusting if it rains…and NO SEWER! Choose another site my friends. There are nicer and cheaper sites closer to Arcadia. I won’t be back!!!!

We spent two nights at Forest Ridge. The campground is clean, small, and the people are exceptionally nice. They have a wealth of information of things to do and places to eat. They know the best places to go in Acadia NP, and were very helpful. The sites are level, clean and the hookups are in good working order. Try the blueberry pie at Union River Lobster Restaurant. It's delicious!! We enjoyed our stay very much.
