My daughter called this morning for oil (new to the colder states) as she had run out overnight. They call her back 10 min before closing and said they'd here here tomorrow with a trip fee of $85!! Trip fee? That's an appt now Single mom 2 little kids. Very sad they treat people with little kids this way! This is AFTER the landlord said he'd pay for the first fill up but decided this morning that he wouldn't.

The recent storm knocked out power across Maine requiring our generator to work overtime. Our propane level was at 50% before the storm and trying to keep the house warm while needing the generator running taxed the propane supply immensely. I call Downeast for delivery and had propane in less than 24 hours. The folks on the phone were understanding, Julie contacted the dispatcher and took the time to call me back with an update. Thank you to the entire Downeast team!

I had to take a day off work because they couldn’t give me a time frame and then they didn’t even show up for the scheduled appointment. The next day, we lost power and had to go without heat and worry all night about our pipes freezing. Called and left a message for the manager 3 times. Never received a call back. They showed up 2 days later and said “for some reason the ticket didn’t get pulled” I gave them a check that day and still received an invoice in the mail. It’s mandatory for new customers to have the tank checked. When we scheduled this appointment, we were told it was free. Once I finally got a hold of the manager, she blatantly lied and said the check up would be over $100. When I mentioned getting credit added to our account, she said she wouldn’t charge us $100 for the appointment.... the appointment we were already told was free. All we wanted was a simple refill and it’s been the biggest headache. Rude customer service. Terrible communication. Do yourself a favor and go with a company that knows how to conduct a business professionally.

I am being charged a $65 fee/penalty for being a low usage customer, this company is NOT regulated they can raise prices any time any price. they charge lower rates for people who use a lot of propane, it is the low income, low user, fixed income, poor people who pay the highest rate to make up for the pricing of the people who use a lot of gas, another company charged my dad $100 fee/penalty for his gas, they said he was a low user, he has 3 appliances that use gas, he is a 88y/o senior, Korean war vet, leg amputee, end stage kidney disease. he felt he had to pay the penalty bill. YOU DO NOT HAVE TO PAY IT, DONT PAY IT. it is a scam rip off by the propane companies. they are not regulated by the PUC. so since they are not regulated we the customer have every right to not pay the penalty. contact you state lawmakers in Augusta to demand change.

Charged for almost 3 hours to swap out 7 ng orifices on a ng/lap stove. Either the technician was hand casting these in the driveway or ripping me off I’d go with the later. In what world does it take almost 3 hours to unscrew and screw back in? This is Maine not the space station.

On top of that they were late to show up by over an hour from the 8-12 window provided, I had to call in to get an update. Typical monopolistic type co.

Also a call into them for a returned call 5 days ago and I’m still waiting. Not impressed at all with you guys. Prove me wrong

Just had a propane delivery ...and was shocked by the bill ....$422 for 77 gallons ...that is $5.30 a gallon ...I looked on line that propane prices are down this year ...but I’m paying more than I did last year when the price was much higher ....I just wanted to put it out there if any one else is getting these type of charges . I remember when it was Country Gas ....then all of a sudden DownEast had taking it over ...now it’s seem like they just charge more and more ...just because some people don’t use a lot of fuel ..we pay dearly ...I guess it’s time to look for another supplier .

This is the second time I am running out of propane what is happiness with this company if they are not going to deliver the propane say so and I be happy to look for other company that will be doing the business for me I am old customer and paid on time and most.of the time ahead I can begin worried about the business of this company I run out in.few months ago and now again I am not.happy within company

We paid 312.00 for 100 gallons of #2 heating fuel from these crooks.....the next 100 gallons we got for 250.00 from a local family run business....dont use these people, they are rediculously over priced.
