The store is very clean and neat. You'll find a lot of things there and they are fairly priced for the quality. The staff are very nice with good choice of music so it's enjoyable to walk around and browse. We weren't actually planning to buy anything and just thought of look ou ng around but we ended up buying stuff. Oh and did I mention that the store is very clean and neat? 🙂

Altadena needed a store like this. A dollar store with great customer service and a clean store. The clerk at the register was very friendly and helpful. I'm horrible at names but she was a young African American woman and she greeted us upon entrance,she helped locate items and was at the register with an awesome personality that got us happily on our way for the rest of the day. There are so many Items that we loved and purchased,even tho we only came in just to take a look. We will definitely be back,often. Come inside and shop around,for anything from learning,car,house,art or yard items. There's even a nice selection of things for Christmas tree decorating. Come in and look around,you won't be disappointed. EDIT!!!!!
I took away 3 stars because of 2 things,the price gouging! For example, item prices shouldn't raise in price based off the governers announcements. And not the 1st I've heard of Altadena residents speaking of this and 2nd was, that there was only 1 person in front of me and the cashier was watching and talking so much to the other employee filling a balloon,the lady in front of me audibly said gruffly, "Here!" to get her attention. While holding her money out... Then when that finished, she kept telling a story instead of greeting myself. Like its a pandemic..I'm trying to be in and out. It shouldn't take 10 min with only 1 person in line.

i came wanting to purchase a piñata. a girl was cashiering. she told me they’d be right with me. (she was busy) i made my way to the back where they have the piñatas and i hear 2 other girls in the back just talking. all while the other girls are working. maybe she was the manager or something sitting back there not working. if so, what kind of manager is that? some people take their positions way too serious. WORK don’t just collect a check ASHLEY.

Every Dollar King I walk in I know exactly what items I am going to find, the store is going to be clean, friendly customer service and this store is no exception. It all trickles down, the managers at corporate level I'm sure are respectful with employees, store managers respectful with their subordinates and so as a result I am positive the employees treat the clients with respect, keep the store clean and are always helpful when I need assistance. It's really cool that they have a bunch of stores spread out in LA. Regardless where I am at in LA if I need something I'll search Dollar King and always one pops up like a couple of miles from where I am at. Nothing but appreciation for how I am treated any time I walk into a Dollar King and if the corporate office is reading this I am sure you already know but every time I walk into Dollar King I am treated with respect. I wish your company much success!

In just going to say this.. If you like spending money to ve disrespected and given attitude then this is definitely the store to go to. I literally had to call the manager for all dollar kings just to exchange an item because the girl "Stefani" said they don't do exchanges unless it's the same exact price and they don't do returns. I go here alot and a majority of the time the attitude from everyone is bad. Im. Oy expecting special treatment.. I am just expecting to be treated the way dollar king expects their employees to treat custimers and i am certain this is not the Dollar King way. I called the general manager David and he was baffled.. probably about as baffled as I am to see this location has 4 stars. If I see the same employees next time I go here I will walk right back out. I would have given negative stars if possible.

The best place in town. So clean, organized and stocked with great products. Lots of name brand items. Great prices. Staff is very friendly and helpful. I literally spend hours there shopping.
