This store is highly inconsistent, Monday morning at 0814(open time is 0700) there was no one operating the store. Would not recommend if you value your time.

We were in a Memphis for a week at a Airbnb and we’re looking for close and quick groceries.This place was perfect. We had gone to City Market first and found DGX had far better selection and prices. Aside from a decent selection of snacks and groceries, they have over the counter pharmacy products, and everything you might have forgotten on your vacation.

Also had reasonably priced beer and wine as a bonus.

A godsend in this urban food desert. Well stocked, clean store. Milk, eggs (cheaper than some grocery stores), meat, some fresh fruits and veggies (!!!), nuts, frozen food, some decent wine. Even a blow dryer. Right on the trolley 🚎 line. Staff was very friendly and even brought me a basket as my arms filled up.

Convenient for being downtown, decent variety. Prices are hit or miss. The place is often clean but the customer base can vary. I wouldn't recommend going late in the evening but if you are staying down town and need something go here before Walgreens because you never know what they'll have. Great selection for home basics and grocery staples.

I don’t know what else these people that give one star reviews for a dollar general are about! “It doesn’t have what another store had.” That doesn’t even make sense. Dollar General < Family Dollar (they didn’t have alcohol). “People didn’t greet me when I walked in.” Do you need a coke and a smile when you walk into DGX? Do you need valet as well? Anyway - I’m always greeted very kindly and they are extremely helpful. I love the people there and they’re very helpful. This place is fast, grab and go, get about three things and then you’re out. It’s perfect!

Great and convenient. The staff is always friendly. Since the Family Dollar closed, it’s nice to have another place to shop in downtown Memphis. I’m usually able to find what I need and I love that there is a self checkout.

I am visiting Memphis for my Fiancé’s Birthday. There were 3 African American women standing behind the counter watching my fiancé and I walking through the door. They did not greet us, and we received very rude customer service!! I will never stop by this location again. Thank you for the horrible experience as my first time visiting Tennessee.
