Probably the most recognized spot I found in town. I tried the crab stuffed mushrooms and a slice of carrot cake for dessert. The portions there are massive! I ate a little early, but I think it livens up quite a bit at night. Definitely worth a stop if you're in the area

Fabulous local tradition! Great menu, along with some long time favorites! The fried catfish is delicious , homemade corn pudding, homemade french onion soup, kentucky hot brown... You just can't go wrong! Friendly attentive staff! You definitely must step in if you haven't!
Update: i went back to try the crab stuffed mushrooms. I must say...ohhhh my gosh! I actually thought red lobster had the best. But i've changed my mind! DeSha's is the place to be for crab stuffed mushrooms! They even reheated well at home! What are you waiting for go try them!!

I just happened to swing by deSha's while on a business trip. I was in and out relatively quickly and had one of the tastiest burgers I've had in years. The staff was welcoming and patient with my dietary requests, and were overall very helpful. Just a great time all around!
The decor may be a little outdated but it doesn't detract at all from the staff and food.

Good experience. Food was delicious. Burger was juicy definitely recommend. Came all the way from Louisville. Wish there was a place like this here in Louisville employees were very nice waitress was exceptional. I think her name was Bailey but I could be wrong was respectful and stayed on top of everything eventually I'll be back

It took about 10 minutes to receive service from the moment I sat down, and the hostess had to get my drink. I ordered Maker's Mac and Cheese for my food, and while the presentation was good, the taste left a lot to be desired. I wasn't a fan of the environment or patronage either; it felt very uninviting. I don't think I will be back.

First time there with friends. Our table got the salmon and lg fish dinners and everything was delicious!! Our server checked in but not to much which I like! Got cornbread and carrot cake to take home which was delicious as well! My only pet peve is when we got there it wasn't busy and others were seated right next to our table. Understand if they are busy but it was silly. Many restaurants do this and if possible we usually move if they aren't busy.

My wife and I were driving to Indiana to watch Monday's eclipse, and we decided to stop for an early dinner. We decided to stop at deSha's Restaurant on US 68 in Maysville, Kentucky. We had looked at the menus of upcoming restaurants, and that one caught my eye. A very welcoming hostess showed us to our table. It is a very warm, comfortable dining room, with brick walls, large exposed beams above your head, and a huge fireplace.
Being in Kentucky, my wife ordered a shot of Woodfore Reserve Rye, and I ordered Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Ale. My wife, who is a bit of a bourbon and whisky connoisseur said the Rye was so smooth, and she definately picked up the woody fruity caramel-y notes. As for the ale, it had a real caramel flavor and was excellent, even at 8.2% ABV. For starters we had Coconut Chicken. We expected wlamm pieces, but we're served 4 entre-sized pieces. The chicken was juicy and perfectly cooked, and the coconut breading was very delicate. For dinner we both had the pan-seared salmon, served with rice. We both selected sautéed whole mushrooms as a side. The salmon was luscious. A nice "crust" on the outside hid tender salmon. Mushrooms were a bit on the salty side, but the juice left after finishing them helped the rice.
All in all it was a very nice dinner. We will be coming through here again, as we have good friends in eastern Indiana, so we will be back. Definately a place to try.

This was a wonderful experience from start to finish. The wait for a table was very minimal for starters, which was great. The seating was well done, very comfortable and not cramped like many places seem to be now days. The staff were very pleasant and friendly, more so after we revealed that we were first timers here. They were very helpful in suggestions menu wise and really knew their food, which was very helpful. The menu was very nicely diverse in selection. Appetizers were brought out first - we had the French onion soup and stuffed banana peppers, which were very tasty. Lisa had salad, which was very good, as most of the salads she orders are. To be quite honest, I had never had them before, and the taste, as served here, were very much beyond expectations. It was also large enough (five)We were given ample time to get through the appetizers and then on to the main courses..... Salmon for me and fish and chips (small portion) for Lisa. Believe it or not, the fish portion was enough for two - generous and filling. My salmon was equally generous and done just right with a mild smoked flavour, capturing the salmon but not overly so. As a side note, I also ordered cornbread....... This square of cornbread was fantastic both on its own and with butter. By far one of the better cornbreads I've had eating out. As always, we took a sample of each other's fish and were very pleased indeed. Dessert was offered, but we were so full from the dinner that we just couldn't.... This trip🙂! The price was very reasonable as well and very friendly. So, to sum it up, great atmosphere, friendly staff, fantastic food, and won't break the bank. We were passing through and decided to try this place and are very glad that we did. We shall definitely stop in again and would recommend this place to everyone, locals and travelers alike (although by the crowd, I already know it's a hit locally). Definitely a place to enjoy the best of food done right. And don't forget the cornbread🙂
