We happened upon Definitive while visiting outlets in Kittery.
We are glad we stopped by. Their space is clean and comfortable, staff friendly and helpful, and their beers - especially their session IPA delicious.
They have a range of beers and rotate taps frequently. So there is something for everyone here.

Great dog friendly spot for a beer! They allow dogs inside which is great. They offer multiple lager options. I had the helles and kolsch and both were delicious. My wife had IPAs and they were both very juicy to satisfy the hop head needs. The service was good. One bartender that was new was very friendly and helpful. The other couldn't have been bothered any less by having anyone in there. We would come back if we were in the area again!

Definitive Brewing is an excellent local brewery. Its selection is second to none with sessions, sours, IPAs, and stouts. The flavor profiles remind me of TreeHouse with TreeHouse prices. Definitely worth the price without all of the travel. The Kittery location is low key with a nice outdoor patio.

I rarely write bad reviews, look for yourself. But man, this place, wow. We went here on Saturday, Sept 14th, 2024. Part of the experience when you visit a brewery, distillery, bar, etc is the interaction with the staff. The bartender here made it quite clear that she was not happy to see us walk in and was clearly wishing she was anywhere else. Now I can partly understand why, the place was at - or closely approaching 100 degrees F inside. It was like a wall of heat when we walked in. So we immediately decided to sit outside at the picnic tables. However, the seats were in the direct sun, with a few tables having tiny umbrellas, but they only covered a portion of the seats in a parking lot. We gulped down our beers (which were pretty good) and headed to Stoneface a few min away in NH. They greeted us with huge smiles and suggestions. We stayed there for 2 hours and had a great time. If you are going to represent your brand with a remote location, do it right or don't do it at all, DBC.

Nice selection of brews with hard seltzer. Something for everyone. Friendly tap mister. Great place to break up the shopping!

Breezy

A little disappointed with Definitive Kittery b/c we LOVE the Portland location. The location is cute - nice amount of outdoor seating and a little bit inside too. Nice and clean place. The beer is amazing - which we already knew from the Portland location. But the service was bad. I typically wouldn't point it out but the girl at the counter was not friendly or helpful. She seemed like she didn't want to be there and that made us not want to be there for a second round. Hopefully she was only having a bad day.

This place is great. Beers are on point. One of the cleanest, Scottish style red ales I've ever had. IPAs were fantastic. Service was outstanding.

Stop here for some suds. You'll be glad you did.

Definitive has, hands down, the best sour series in probably the whole world (Belgium is a different story) and they have a nice variety of styles. The beers are always rotating so there is a great deal of incentive to keep coming back to try the latest on tap - and they never disappoint. I echo all the comments about how awesome Josh is, he makes the experience all the more enjoyable. This location is super convenient from Boston and we come here regularly, as they drop new releases practically every week. There is a cute patio and the taproom/bar itself is very cozy, so it's the ideal spot at any time of year. The Portland location is less intimate, but it's also a great spot year round, especially for a weekend getaway.
