Tuscumbia and the Shoals definitely deserve a better hotel than the service this hotel was able to provide. I stayed there two nights. On the second night there was no running water and the toilets did not flush. The front desk person promised me a 15 minute delay but running did not start back until 4AM the next day (according to the front desk person the next morning). I had to leave the hotel in order to find a bathroom and purchase water to drink before going to bed.

The room was not cleaned either after the first night. When I asked the front desk person about it the next morning, she told me I should have called and requested room service if I wanted it. There was also mold in the shower. On checking out, I asked for a phone call and still have not heard back. Save your money and go somewhere - anywhere! - better than this place.

Traveling to visit family, we stayed here for one night. The facility and the room were clean, pleasant, and affordable. Compared to others in the same price range, we were pleasantly surprised. — Although, apart from the desk clerk, most of the staff did not speak English, all of our needs were met. Be aware that their room prices *do* fluctuate throughout the day. 😉

Let me preface this by saying we’re on a cross-country two month trip and we’ve stayed in many, many hotels. This hotel has seen better days. There aren’t many solid options in this area so beware-the fancy entrance and furnishings don’t make a good hotel, service does.

Room: Once we checked in and brought in a mountain of stuff we realized we didn’t have running water and the front desk couldn’t give us a timeline. Once the water came back on, we had sinks that didn’t drain and when they did, a bucket had been placed under the sink to catch water. The woman at the front moved us to another room despite the huge inconvenience of moving all our stuff. Once we settled in, we realized the main lamp didn’t have light bulbs. Not a huge deal but a big sign that simple maintenance isn’t a priority. The tub faucet dripped all night.

Breakfast: empty containers, dismal and minimal offerings, less-than-warm service, no tea.

Elevator at end of hall had a sign it wasn’t operating, the key reader on the side door also had a sign it wasn’t operating.

For a hotel that advertises itself as a boutique hotel, it surely isn’t. It’s more a failing low-budget hotel.

Kudos to the gentlemen who checked us out who was kind and apologized for all the mishaps- he was the first employee who seemed to care.

First of all, I have to give some serious thanks to the manager Cindy. We reached out because our air was out, and she promptly responded, letting me know that they would be more than happy to work with us (we didn’t know how many days we would need), and she gave us a discount because they always take care of their locals 🤍 The room was clean, cool, and everyone was so nice. The breakfast was really good, and the hotel itself is so pretty! Thanks again y’all for having us. We hope to be back under better circumstances 😂

This is a beautiful Inn decorated with historic furnishings. The room was spacious, the bed very comfortable and the linens soft. The breakfast was decent with several choices. This is the only hotel that we saw on that stretch of highway, and I would recommend it if you are in the area. The staff was friendly and helpful.

I had a fantastic stay at the Cold Water Inn while traveling the Natchez Trace Parkway. The hotel was spotless, the staff was warm and welcoming, and its historic charm made it feel like a step back in time. That said, the long hallways had such The Shining vibes that I half-expected to see twin girls standing at the end, whispering, "Come play with us..."! You could also hear a distant train passing by, which added to the atmospheric charm, though light sleepers might find it less enjoyable. A unique and cozy stay—I’d absolutely come back!

I stayed here for 5 nights and 4 days Tuesday through Sunday in June 2025. The entrance to this inn is very beautiful with wrap around stair case and grand piano in the lobby to welcome you. Tasseled ceiling to floor curtains, antique rugs, and wooden antique furniture giving very much a mansion vibe. The front desk is to your right through the main entrance and the nice young blonde lady who mans it is very helpful and welcoming. The room was not as ornate; I rented the king, dog friendly room (could be why it was standard) came with the bed, a flat screen TV, an arm chair with ottoman, desk with chair, and Keurig. No maid service but a note on the tv stand/dresser stated to place your trash and dirty towels outside the room and pick up replacements anytime @the front desk. I stayed on the 1st floor, but spotted an elevator, I never used it so I’m not sure if it works or not. Plenty of parking. I did not eat the breakfast, but my fiancé did and stated that it was delicious and warm. They had both patty and link sausage, eggs, bacon and grab and go items. The pool and fitness center were open though I did not get a chance to use either. All in all 8/10 place ☺️
