This transfer station used to be a great place to work with, but unfortunately they were a complete hassle this time and I feel that I was overcharged.

Be aware- the fees listed on the website fail to state that whoever is at the guard-shack can charge additional “at their discretion”- their words, not mine. I went to dump an old sectional couch and added a few misc items on top since the trailer was going anyways and was charged $50 when trailers clearly show $20 on the fee chart. When questioned about why it’s so high this time, they hit me with the excuse “people who used to work here didn’t charge correctly, now we’re charging correctly and lots of people have been getting frustrated lately.” When following up on this matter today, the guy (T.C.) told me he charged that price because “that trailer was packed 6 foot high!“ Just for fun- I have included a pic of the trailer.

Alternative Waste Management in Mayflower would have cost less and probably provided a much better experience.

We are so grateful that Maumelle Recycling Center recycles glass. It takes a little bit of effort to get it to your center, but we have a dedicated bin for all the bottles and jars we collect. Every few weeks we load it into our pickup and bring it to your facility. We are dedicated to recycling everything that we can to keep our beautiful state beautiful. Thank you for providing this service.

Very easy to get mulch here. They will not load for you, so bring a shovel and back your truck up to the pile. It's free. The last load I got was partially composted.

Extremely helpful personnel here to guide you in dropping off all recyclables, including glass, scrap metal and even hazmat (i.e., intact fluorescent light bulbs). I come here every other week to drop off my glass and general recycling overflow, which my bi-weekly pickup does not accommodate. Highly recommend coming here. Note that they are closed on Tuesdays (at the time of this submission).
