This is a nice exhibit, however the activity planned for the day had been canceled.
Additionally if you go up the stairs, you will find the old jail and museum. The lady attendant is very helpful and knowledgeable.

Great exhibit conveniently located right in the center of Hayesville where you (and the family) can learn a little about Cherokee heritage and culture. I found the information on the Seven Cherokee Clans particularly interesting. There is even a list of additional sites and resources you can visit to learn and experience more in North Carolina / Tennessee.

Loved the homestead exhibit. My son can't wait to back when we visit hayesville. Hopefully next time the museum will be open as well. The outside portion was nice for an hour or so and we walked in the gardens just next to it. Fun time for the kids!

small, open air exhibit that is worth seeing. spend about 45 minutes experiencing how native Americans lived, and also early settlers. they recently added a renovated school house. important info and interesting! take the family.
