This was a great experience. Captain Xander was an amazing tour guide with a plethora of knowledge about Castine, Maine. The area has some very significant history, economic importance, and absolutely breathtaking views. If you're in the area a highly recommend taking a tour with Castine Cruises.
The price was reasonable at 35 per person for a 45 minute tour. You have access to views from the water that you typically would not enjoy from an inland perspective. The owners have done a great job setting this up, and have put passion into this business. The little boat you will take on the tour is comfortable, and allows you to make the most of a refreshing sea breeze.

My wife and I booked a Sunday morning cruise on Little Toot and had a wonderful time! As we were the only two people on the boat that morning, I was wondering if an hour and a half might be too long. We could have stayed out for much longer! Our captain knew so much about the area, history, and people of Castine. We will recommend this cruise to everyone.

We thoroughly enjoyed our 45-minute cruise aboard the Lil’ Toot. The guide (who is the owner of the business) was incredibly knowledgeable about the area. We had many seal sightings, too. Highly recommended!

We had a wonderful time. Little toot is very comfortable and seaworthy. Captain Xander is very knowledgeable of the history of casting as well as the natural history. Highly recommend.

As returning customers from the Guildive days, we knew we would be getting a quality experience with Castine Cruises. This time, we returned with three young kids, so Lil Toot was the perfect boat for our family! We privately chartered Lil Toot for a sunset cruise and had a wonderful time! Zander was professional and knowledgeable about boat safety, and the Penobscot Bay. He took us out for a phenomenal view of the sunset, the bay and helped us spot two bald eagles and some seals. The on-board binoculars made the sights even better!
Zander was great with our kids, and let our children take turns at the helm, and they loved “driving the boat”. Overall, we would highly recommend Castine Cruises and Lil Toot!
