My family and I adore Casa Jovero and we really love being able to walk there from our West Fayetteville neighborhood. I have had tamales from dozens of restaurants and other homemade sources, the tamales at Casa Jovero are consistently the best tamales I have ever had. My family and I have gotten tamales from there a half dozen times and they are outstanding every time. The staff there is always very sweet and friendly and frankly my wife, kids, and myself have a really great meal every single time we walk or ride bikes the short walk to this wonderful restaurant.

Out here from CA , I know a good Mexican spot when I see one , this is tucked in a small building in a big complex and that’s usually a good sign . So I swouped in grabbed 2 tamales one beef one chicken and they were perfect. Masa well seasoned and firm but not dry at all . The meat was cooked and seasoned perfectly in generous portions. This prices are a little high but that’s the case anywhere you go these days. Employees were super friendly . 5 stars. Highly recommended

I would have not even given 1 star. My wife ordered 6 tacos on Tuesday. Tacos were disgusting, can’t even compare to Taco Bell’s tacos. Taco Bell’s tacos are better looking than what they serve you here. If you go any authentic Mexican place, at least you would not expect this kind of food. When we asked to refund, the owner was rude and ignored us totally. What a poor customer service! We literally had to fight for the refund, and gladly other customers wanted the same food. So, other customers settled the matter. The owner should be really ashamed of this and do better in future if want to keep business running for long.

I was craving tamales tonight and remembered seeing them on the menu board when I checked out the photos on their web sight, called ahead to make sure they had any pork ones left as it was an hour and a half before they close, they did. They were moist and delicious and very well made, masa/meat very well proportioned and distributed on each of the 4 I had. I am looking forward to trying the rest of the menu soon and hope they can take over the former Penguin Ed’s space. Highly recommend!

Stopped in this morning for takeout. This place is literally a quarter mile from my house, and I was blown away! Legitimately the best food I’ve had from a taqueria in years. They were out of the normal bread for a torta, so Anna used a substitution, didn’t matter still delicious and she even threw in a couple of tacos for the inconvenience (it wasn’t an inconvenience, I think I actually might order it this way from now on). Great service, great food. I’m now a regular.

So everyone's been raving about this place when my wife found it on Google. Being a New Mexican in Arkansas and a foodie,I was pumped when I heard about this place, and decided to go. The service was great, and the store has a very good selection of dried or fresh chilies. There were several items in the store that I'll definitely be back for. THE FOOD: I was a little heartbroken when I found out they do not make their own tortillas. It's all about the Masa! I had two Al Pastor Tacos, one ¿Guisado? Taco, one Barbacoa Taco, and one Quesabirria with Consomme. My wife had two Chicken Green Chile Tamales, and two Carne Asada Tacos. Unfortunately, the Tamales were dry, and the Tacos were average. I REALLY enjoyed the Consomme, but sadly that was the best part of the meal. My wife and I will always choose local over chain any day of the week, and hope this was just a fluke. I'll give it another try in the near future just in case it was.

This is hands down the best Mexican food in Fayetteville. I’m a Cali girl and I was super happy to find some good food. The staff is amazing and it’s family owned (which I love). I eat here at least 2/3 times a week and I’m never disappointed.
