I stopped by here at the prospect of getting the freshest lobster 🦞 that I could possibly get. I ended up ordering the Clam Chowder, Baked Haddock, and a lovster roll to go. The clam chowder was good. It was seasoned to perfection. The baked haddock had a crusted topping that unfortunately didn't allow me to taste the haddock. It wasn't my first time having cod but my first time having haddock, and quite honestly I don't know the difference and couldn't taste the difference either. The atmosphere was spot on, and my dining experience fulfilled the desired result. I will definitely be back when I visit Cape Neddick

Me and my girlfriend got here around 12:00 on a Sunday, in the middle of winter. I guess this is the first year they decided to stay open during the winter. The food was great. The service was great too. I like it when I can go to a restaurant and not be bothered the whole time or neglected so is a pretty good medium. These guys also have a room upstairs that they run out, for functions and things like that. They also have a bar, I wasn't able to get any photos of that. Great place all around.

Disappointing Dining Experience

The restaurant is undeniably cute, with festive Christmas decorations that set a charming atmosphere. The large windows offer a beautiful view of their pound, allowing natural light to flood the space. We were excited for a delightful dining experience, but unfortunately, our meal turned out to be far from satisfying.
We ordered a clam chowder and a baked lobster to share, along with some drinks. However, our dining experience took a sharp turn for the worse when we waited over an hour for the lobster to arrive. Our server seemed to have forgotten about us entirely, and we were left waiting without any updates. I eventually had to approach the front to inquire about our order and discovered that our server hadn't even placed it!
An hour after our initial order, we finally received our baked lobster, but it was a disappointment. It appeared to be a boiled lobster with baked stuffing simply placed on top. The lobster was overly salty, and there wasn't much meat to enjoy, despite the hefty price tag of $65.

We went to several restaurants on our vacation in Maine. This was one of the nicest ones the servers are polite, friendly, and very helpful. The lobster was amazingly sweet and tender. OMG the view is incredible. We really enjoyed our evening dining at the lobster Pound. Thank you.

Went on a self-guided lobster roll tour while in Maine and Massachusetts, and this place had the winner. They have a few types to choose from, and we selected the warm butter version and it was incredible. Some of the staff members were decorating for the holidays while we were there and we could tell they took pride in the business- love to see it! Highly recommend!

Go for the larger lobster I had the 2lber….outstanding, Even the corn and coleslaw was excellent. Tell the rest of your party to have another drink while you work on your lobster it takes time but well worth it…best lobster I’ve had for some time. My wife had the seafood pasta that was excellent as well.

Love this place! My first time here and would go back. Easy to find. Got seated right away, server was friendly. I got a peach ginger ale mocktail, totally worth it. Crab dip for appatizer was excellent. The reason for 4 stars was the stuffed lobster. I like it better when prepared by splitting the tail open and stuffing in-between the tail and meat, and then bake. Instead you have to move all the stuffing out of the way, cut the belly and pull the lobster tail out. I mean, that almost doesn't make any sense of getting a stuffed lobster. I've been to other restaurants and this is not usually how its is done. The tail should be cut open, would love to see that change, it was great but I wouldn't order again because the preparation doesn't really make sense and it's messy and I'm assemling the stuffed lobster at the table.
