So this is a great spot to teach kids about fishing. You can drop the pole in without bait and nab a trout in seconds. They provide everything you need and you just pay per inch. I don't know if I agree about the no catch and release because we caught several that were really small. The guy overseeing things was kinda gruff. Guess he doesn't partake in the small town hospitality that you can feel in other parts of Payson. The lady is cordial enough. Only reason I'm leaning on the positive side for stars is because the area itself is fantastic. Nice tire swing for kids. Lots of grass and picnic tables for eating lunch (assuming you brought it cause the were not cooking what you catch that day). Overall I think this was a good spot for an afternoon outing with a family. Be careful though if you have a lot of kids and they all want to try catching multiple fish....$$$ will add up fast.

Lots of fun to get your fresh trout to grill. Water was not very clear but it was just after the big rains. The lady working was very pleasant and helpful. Beautiful area to just sit and relax for the afternoon.

A little expensive but awesome place to visit. You will ALWAYS catch a trout here!!
They clean and pack your fish to take home with you. They also provide the pole and bait for fishing.
Really awesome we were able to visit here during this time since the forest is close and we couldn't fish anywhere else at the time.

We had so much fun here as a family. My kids had zero fishing experience and Brenda’s place changed that and now they are hooked!🤣

This location is beautiful, and just a few minutes from the Tonto Hatchery. The owners were incredibly friendly and helpful. The kids caught 3 fish in about 15 minutes, and they cleaned them for us, in addition to helping us remove some tricky fish hooks.

Gorgeous area, and the kids had a blast. We will definitely be returning soon.

Spent a very rainy day here with 7 adults 7 little kids from 1-9 yr old and it was amazing!! Everyone really enjoyed playing on the well kept grounds, the fishing was quick and easy for the little ones. Each fish we caught (5) were a good size and delicious. We enjoyed grilling and eating in the great covered picnic area. The woman in the shop was so friendly and helpful. Everything was clean and well run. Our only problem besides the rain and mud (which the kids loved) was difficulty finding the location. It came up wrong on a few different gps maps. Google maps was the correct directions. Recommend for every age.

Very pretty and well kept grounds. The owners were very helpful and nice to my family and were more than willing to hop in and help with any issues at all!

We caught three fish. It is incredibly easy to catch fish here, if you dangle the bait above the water they will try to jump out of the water to get it. Not necessarily my type of fishing but it's great fun for family and kids and you will leave with dinner in hand, unlike some fishing trips I've had before.

The fish were also very meaty, were nice sized, and had excellent flavor. Top notch for eating.
