Neat bakery & retail space in Spenard. I come here to get my Franz buttermilk toaster biscuits cuz they are cheaper than other grocery stores if they even have them. It's evil how the aisle where you enter the store is all Donuts! Just daring you to get to the next aisle without grabbing something! Get the reusable shopping bag, it's really big and has a fun animal circus cookie on the bag! Sometimes wish they had a little more variety but then I would just spend more. A nice little weekend stop.

On most days, blocks before making it to the corner of Hillcrest and Spenard, the smell of baking bread is downright distracting. Families with kids at West or Romig know what I mean. This review isn’t going to be long...freshly baked in house, large variety, specials all the time, wholesome ingredients...it’s a given. And the Texas Toast makes excellent French Toast! They are open 6 days a week. Be prepared to become addicted.

Great selection of fresh bakery items on top of there bargain wall selection. Free buns with every purchase today, so we ended up with four items for under $9. We will be back.

Updated: Love their products and the bread is fresh with amazing prices that usually beats the grocery store. I like the option of buying freshly baked goods or discounted baked goods. The staff are friendly and you hardly have to wait to be checked out.

The prices are awesome, the various flavors and types of breads are mouth watering and the lady that works there is even more awesome. She was extremely helpful and kind, welcoming and approachable. She had good advice about all the products, and sent me out the door happy that I finally stopped into this flavor oasis of bread in the Anchorage area after 13 years of being here on my own! Wow!

This is not a second rate, day old, bakery. They sell fresh bread and goods at almost half the cost you find in the stores locally but you can get a better price if you want the older baked goods. I don't because we don't eat it fast enough.
