Extremely high in comparison to other local liquor stores. I purchased a 750ml bottle of Blackberry Crown Royal and it was $56. Approximately one mile south at Liquor Stop 3 I purchased the exact same bottle for $37.45. I then went back to Beaver Dam Liquors for price verification and was told their prices are higher than anywhere else. I wasn’t surprised by the fact but $18.55 higher on a fifth of Crown. It crossed my mind that maybe Liquor Stop 3 had it priced too low so I called Cork and Cases in Hartford. They had it real close to the $37 it was either $1 higher or lower. I understand the cost associated with providing a service but …..I don’t see myself returning to Beaver Dam Liquors.

Gabby (sp?) at the front desk was so kind. She helped me find a whiskey glass I was looking for and we got to talking for a bit. This store has a good selection of bourbon, and I was able to purchase a bottle I would not have otherwise been able to find. Thankful for the great service!

Pretty good selection on everything except scotch. Only had a few options but they were the go-to's. They have a case of their "more rare" bottles up front and everything in it was grossly overpriced. Some bottles listed for way over secondary market prices which are already really high and over retail. They have a lot of other options when it comes to Bourbon but many of those are somewhat overpriced. Not a bad store but I'd drive down the road for more reasonable prices.

The Owner of the store is one of the most rude individuals I've ever meet. We are new to the area and we were walking around as CBD distributors and I'm the CFO of our non-profit (Dollar a Month, Sustainable Communities). She dismissed us before even sharing a word and called the local police to harass us (All the while lying about our actions). If you do not drive a Mercedes or the like, then you may get the stink eye and some negative energy thrown at you, maybe even chased down by cops because some Barbie blonde appears to think she's better than you. I will tell EVERYONE I meet in this area.
To balance out this equation, Miss Beverly, the employee at this location was the Nicest, Sweetest, most Highly enlightened individual we've come across in our few weeks in the area. Her kindness instantly make me forget how I was just treated like SCUM, just moments before.
From one human to another, brothers and sisters, you and I do not have to be treated this way. Please avoid this location and the Hartsville Liquor as she is the owner of both.
We can stop making jerks rich by avoiding them at all cost.
And if you want a better review than mine, read Jeff Green's on this thread. Should be just before or after this review.
Thank to those who took the time to read this. Hoping you have a better experience than I did or this helps you to avoid the negative treatment and find another place to conduct business.

If only 0 stars was an option.
The kindest cashier in the world Beverly. Was a pleasure to speak with!

Unfortunately the owner(s) of this establishment ruined the experience all together. My brother and I are new to the KY area. We relocated from CO. We are CBD distributors and operate a nonprofit organization dealing in plant medicines and sustainable living/communities. (Among other pursuits and practices)

We brought our grandmother to a local health facility and took a walk to see if any local businesses were interested in stocking their shelves with our Certified organic CBD accompanied with Certificates of Authenticity. Most owners were happy to speak with us and polite.

The owner of the Beaver Dam Liquors (also Hartford Liquors) some blond haired woman in a Mercedes must have mistook us for derelicts and greeted us with rudeness as she quickly sped off. (As if her preconceived notions had any relevance to prospective business partners, suppliers, customers, etc.)

Pursuing with positivity, as I do. I didnt let it get to me and proceeded to speak with the cashier. Beverly was kind, intelligent, and by all means exemplified the true nature of a business owner. She should be running that place, if nothing more than to avoid this types of reviews and to attempt to keep clientele.

Subsequently, minutes after a great conversation, the owner phoned Ms. Beverly and made the assumption that we were selling "illegal drugs". She asked us to take the samples we were willing to leave with her. Understandable. Not everyone can have great days.

However, we were then chased down by local Beaver Dam and Hartford Police.
The two officers were polite, however they stated that the cops had been called and someone was lying about our behavior and intent.

The accusations were made that we were "selling illegal drugs to people in their cars".

Never have I been so utterly offended at the notion. I have 0 criminal record, I am a law student, I run multiple businesses and have for years now.

I suppose if we had shown up in a Mercedes too, we would have been greeted with kindness.

However, as Coloradoans, we like to walk and the judgement was made poorly.

Never will i have anything to do with this business and I will make it my lifes mission, as we become more heavily established in this county, to bring awareness to the dirt poor business practices of the owners.

Make no mistake. This is only the beginning of the verbose vernacular I will use to bring clarity to the clouded judgement of a supremely rude lady. Perhaps if she had a spirit instead of just selling it, I wouldnt have to be writing this.

The practice of business is one of compassion and service. We dont establish wholesome relationships on the foundations of judgement, let alone enacting a modern day witchhunt and wasting tax payer dollars to chase two men who couldn't be kinder or have better intentions for what we do as living moral beings of God.

How many legitimate crimes had to be put on hold while officers from 2 departments had to chase us down and find that absolutley nothing illegal was going on? In front of a medical clinic, as they watched us load our wheelchair bound grandmother into the car, the chief stated "it looks like you have more to deal with than this, have a good day"

Precisely. I do have more to deal with, and yet I have to spend part of my afternoon overly enunciating just how much I despise people who behave this way.

Your business provides a service.
Act like it.
The local law enforcement isnt paid to be your errand boys.
They have a real jobs to perform.
Have a good day and good luck with your future patrons. I hope they have a better experience, yet realistically, it will be in your absence.
