We just had lunch at the Shapleigh Corner Store it was very tasty. The store is purely about comfort and takes you back to the way Maine used to be in the rural town of Shapleigh. It’s not fancy just good food at reasonable prices. Inside there is counter seating with a view of the kitchen, an small area of tables and booths and on the end a room with some convenience items and bakery goods.

We had the bacon ranch burger and steak and cheese sandwich. Both were good and the price right. In the past, we’ve enjoyed pizza and calzones from the store. Pizza is medium crust style and pretty good considering you’re in Maine. There are many toppings to choose from.

The Shapleigh Corner Store is small and has one or two servers. Food is prepared to order and you need to be patient. When they are busy ( usually in Summer) the small kitchen gets overwhelmed with customers and take-out orders. Service suffers and occasionally so does the food.

We eat in and take out from the Shapleigh Corner Store often. Try it in the off season and you won’t be disappointed.

Our absolute favorite place to eat! I have been going here for over two decades and despite changes due to Covid the staff is/has always been so pleasant and a joy to interact with, the ambiance is like being home, their prices and portions are truly the best around, and the food is BEYOND delicious!! Perfect if you love comfort food or miss homecooked meals. Absolutely LOVE this gem of a place!! <3
