The bag failed during its initial trip, resulting in an awful user experience. Additionally, there is no way to reach customer service on the weekend. When I called the store, they couldn’t provide a number to call from overseas. Unfortunately, my $280 bag is heading to the dumpster after its first use. I should have taken my trusted, world-proven Samsonite bag instead.

Despite this, the company has a reputation for quality products, so I believe this is likely just a one-time issue with quality control. I hope they can assist me when their customer service is available on Monday.

Excellent customer service at Timbuk2. Went in to buy a new bag, the sales woman told me "If you trade in your old Timbuk2 bag you get a 20% discount towards the purchase of a new bag" My old bag was 24 years old and literally falling apart, not worth even $5 anymore. This is a great loyalty perk Timbuk2 offers to repeat customers, 20% is a really great discount. The sales lady, I think her name is Lisette, was awesome! She helped me with the fine details when putting together my custom bag order. She is a true asset to the company. Asked her is there a good place to buy a sandwich in Hayes Valley, she informed me of several great options. So nice to experience excellent customer service in this era when excellent customer service seems to be a lost art form. I've been buying Timbuk2 bags since 1995, this is my 3rd bag. Very happy with all three bags. Here is a excellent feature about Timbuk2 messenger bags, I go day hiking a lot in Marin County. The bag rests off of your hip and lower back area. Even though I generate a lot of body heat while hiking the bag doesn't create any area where my clothes are getting drenched in sweat. Standard hiking backpacks that cover your upper back it's a huge issue, especially during the warmer months. Huge advantage for Timbuk2 bags over standard backpacks. Extremely happy with my purchase at Timbuk2. Highly recommend this business

I have a VERY old Timbuk2 bag that I love! The outside is still in perfect shape, but over the years the inside lining got dried up and started to flake off. I put in a repair request with photos and got a reply that they could fix it! I dropped it off at the SF store and in literally LESS than a week, the bag was beautifully repaired like new and delivered to my doorstep! The skill of their repair staff is unsurpassed! I very much appreciate their expertise and fast turnaround. Highly recommend such a high quality company! Heartfelt thank you to the staff.

Great quality product and that store is always helpful. My problem is the customer care service... I bought a flawed bag, sent it back from repair (took a few weeks) and the same issue reoccurred. They couldn't fix the issue and the way they kicked in the warranty was just very stingy... I had a replacement for a bag worth 90$ less, they refused to give me store credit to make it up for it and it turns out I already had the replacement model... just annoying post-sale support.
